too tired to read some entries right now, but nice looking blog
those Game Boy Display Shelves are pretty awesome |

thanks man! Appreciated!! |
yes I do. its the reason I am aware of final fight one for the gba, which I rdered recently and played it today for the first time, and I have to say: Streets of rage series (way)> Final Fight series, even if its old school capcom. sega defined the scrolling beat em up for me. only flaw: even maniac mode on Streets of rage is too easy!!!
|
Final Fight is pretty meh. Even if I am a huge Capcom fan. I even said in that post that as a total Nintendo fanboy, I still prefer SOR to Final FIght series. :)
|
I have it bookmarked...heh. just haven't read entries. will need good rpg suggestions now that I have the DS.
|
Um...shit, I do now.

do you have a DS (original)? Or DSLite? Or DSi? Or DSXL? Hope it's one with the GBA slot. |

yes I know. I didnt ordered Final Fight because you said something different. I just found it for 1.58 euros, and thought its maybe worth a try, which it was indeed, but nothing more did you play the fanmade Streets of rage? including all levels from the actual games, beta levels, and a shitload of new levels true to the original? all characters ever appeared in the game are playable! this is one of the few fanmade games that surpasses the sublime original, imo. |
Yeah Final Fight is worth a playthrough. I won't get rid of it.
I haven't played that SOR fanversion. Do you know if there is a Beat Of Rage emulator for Gamecube or GBA homebrew? There's tons of BOR mods out there. |
unfortunately not. I think you are way more aknowledge of the gba background then I am. but hook me up if you find anything, I am interested as well
|
processing-wise, there's probably a far better chance of there being a GCN BOR emu. I'll do some poking around when I have some time. :)

OF course! It's a DS Lite. got it for 75 with a game on ebay. Thing looks brand new. |
oh yeah and NR do you still have the DS homebrew?
|
me too got the white one.
higly recommended from me to you, if you liked killer7, do yourself a favour and play "flower sun & rain" on the DS, it might be looking ugly as crap on first sight, but its truly one of the most unique (storydriven) game experiences you will ever have in a david lynch style of storytelling. I am playing it for the third time right now, and goddamn I am enjoying every single minute of it!!!! I think I will open a new thread for it! |

I haven't done any DS homebrew since 2007. I don't even have my DS anymore. It's a great system, but I just got so wrapped up in GB/GBC/GBA/Gamecube that I never even touched my DS anymore. My wife still has a phat DS though. :) |

yeah River City Ransom is a great game. But that really doesn't have anything to do with TMNT.

Turtles Hyperstone Heist (because of the cooler better sound chip) |
NR, they're both great beat-em-ups!

haha true. I'm actually a big Kunio-Kun fan. I think the whole series is great. I'm working on a blog post of some of the games available in the US for GB/A. (I can't think of any Kunio-kun GCN games). But so far I have: River City Ransom EX (GBA) Nintendo World Cup (GB) Double Dragon II (GB) (this was technically a RCR sequel, but when brought to the US, they changed all the sprites to look like a DD game!) Super Dodgeball Advance (GBA) (plays wonderfully, though sadly they changed the sprites into non-Kunio looking characters). |
I can't wait for this to come out. Check out the footage.

I'm not. I'm kind of sick of the 3d gimmick that's been goin' on lately.
|
I have zero interest in this 3DS.
|
I just read each and every blog post, it's a very fascinating read, especially if you grew up reading Nintendo Power and such to see the pictures of all these cool new games coming out. More than a couple times I saw you talking about a game and then wander off into thought of memories of said game.... Good stuff all around my friend.

![]() This month the Game Boy Player Land blog will be heavily focusing on the macabre. As a huge horror movie fan, I've always had a soft spot for horror-themed games. And though I've wanted to write about them in spurts all month, I thought it would make for a really fun October if I just saved all the posts up for this 1st annual Spooktacular. All month long I'll be bombarding the blog with posts relating to ghosts, goblins, witches and the like. This month on the Game Boy Player Land blog, everyday is Halloween. http://rfgeneration.com/blogs/noiseredux |
