demonrail666 08.07.2009 09:54 AM

The valentines one isF, C# F, C#

don't ask me for details, i don't understand these things but i looked it up out of morbid curiosity.

Satan 08.07.2009 09:57 AM

thank you

just to clarify i didn't mean those chords because if i had wanted to i could have figured that out in 30 seconds but any help at all is appreciated.

noisereductions 08.07.2009 09:58 AM

all good songs only use two notes. Duh.

Danny 08.07.2009 09:58 AM

E, C7#, F#, B7

psyche. thats mine. well i used to think it was mine, but then i realised paul simon uses it on 'hobo blues'.

i know and i can't find a combination of two (or three) notes that sounds good and not obviously lifted from somewhere else
i'm getting mad
and i think i've gotten really bad at playing guitar

right now i am looking up every fucking chord progression that exists and testing them out and i hate them all

If it's got two notes, it's not music.

demonrail666 08.07.2009 10:13 AM

noisereductions 08.07.2009 10:14 AM

I all honesty, my favorite chord progression has been used a million times...

A-G-F-E

it's so obvious and easy. But it sounds so good to me whenever it's used.

Satan 08.07.2009 10:14 AM

i was kidding, i'm not trying to be a cunt

but i seriously do need help

noisereductions 08.07.2009 10:20 AM

haha

SYRFox 08.07.2009 10:22 AM

I can't really help since I don't play guitar, but I know that on piano, almost any sequence of # notes (A#, C#, D#, F#, G# if I'm not wrong - Do#, Re#, Fa#, Sol#, La#) will sound good. You should try it.

Satan 08.07.2009 10:25 AM

alright i got one

D# C# G#

and then i realized i ripped it from jesus don't want me for a sunbeam, like i give a shit

noisereductions 08.07.2009 10:43 AM

I like DADABD (I think one of Kim's tunings? On "Nevermind" maybe? Anyway, that's what I used to use).

Satan 08.07.2009 10:46 AM

i don't even know what i just tuned mine to, i think GCCCCE

that's what i'm getting, but they don't open for another 15 minutes and my stomach's started eating itself

cryptowonderdruginvogue 08.07.2009 10:47 AM

standard tuning = epic

Satan 08.07.2009 10:52 AM

i can't stand this responsibility, it's making me never want to play guitar ever again and sucking the fun out of it, all i ever wanted to do was play bass or rhythm guitar and sing backup in someone else's band

2.30 opening time for mine, ooh.

MellySingsDoom 08.07.2009 11:00 AM

D C# B A F# D C#
D C# B A B

Try that out for size, it's quite a nice descending chord run.
