The new bassist in the Pumpkins is god awful. Terrible singer and player. I don't know how she made it in. They should ditch her and get a better bassist.

Actually, Billy is a pretty good guitar player, I'll give him that.

yeah lots of earlier pumpkins work, gish and siamese dream material, some mellon collie is good playing too. but then he kind of got lazy. he can still play the old songs well. like at concerts. but some of his songs are very simple. kind of seems like he rushed the writing process just to get more cash. sooner. he's alright at guitar playing, but nothing special.

I hate the reworked version of BWBW for the C tuning. I always have. James was just as good, if not better than Billy

He [Billy] said that he was taking his pumpkins into a new direction. and trying to get away from the past, some of the new songs are pretty good, but i dont understand why he feels the need to run away from the pumpkins musical history, like is he trying to forget james and d'arcy? that's another thing, they hate billy so much now. like what could he have done to them which made them hold a grudge for almost 10 years now. it's pretty crazy. they should stop the fighting, james and d'arcy should rejoin and maybe they would talk some musical sense into billy.

Overdub all their tracks on Siamese Dream, only allow James one song on Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, never allow James to take a real solo, basically treat them like image puppets, etc.

It does suck. Mainly because there is an actual,intentional, taking of sides. And it doesn't stop there, I witnessed glimpses of championing each aforementioned side.

When will people figure out that Corgan and Vedder are really just the same person going through different stages in life. Having really only one decent stage to each of their credit. The only thing worse than the SCI,WP,GD esque following of Pearl Jam, is the ramblings of a Smashing Pumpkins fan that keeps up with the groups current output.

I would like to humbly take the side of noting that both Corgan and Vedder are quite human, and we're all douchebags in our own way.

Are people still talking about them? Vedder's music never did anything to me. He was too pop. Corgan's early stuff is better. remember when he released Gish on a floppy disc?
