http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioKyxGkBRro

Okay, I know there's a youtube thread, but this was just too ridiculous to post on there.

Bollocks_to_Pop 08.16.2008 08:04 PM

That is fucking ridiculous.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 08.16.2008 08:10 PM

that was AWESOME

Sonic Youth 37 08.16.2008 08:13 PM

Umm...David Lynch is a strange man.

atsonicpark 08.16.2008 08:16 PM

Nah.

Just eccentric.

Sonic Youth 37 08.16.2008 08:20 PM

That's a better way to put it/

SuperCreep 08.16.2008 08:29 PM

Eh. It could be worse. I really wouldn't mind putting her panties in my mouth.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 08.16.2008 08:29 PM

floatingslowly 08.16.2008 10:23 PM

Sonic Youth 37 08.16.2008 10:33 PM

floatingslowly 08.16.2008 10:37 PM

^^ nice.

Alex's Trip 08.16.2008 11:24 PM

I like his hair.

!@#$%! 08.17.2008 12:34 AM

he's a bit of an actor. the fact that he DECLARES that they have her fresh skidmarks doesnt really make it so. i know a few panties i'd eat though.

atsonicpark 08.17.2008 07:14 AM

He's... I hate to use this word but really... a genius.

al shabbray 08.17.2008 07:32 AM

I love lynch. but that was....great.
need to watch blue velvet.
is it that good as everyone writes?

atsonicpark 08.17.2008 07:34 AM

Probably better than anything you've read!

Wild at Heart is personally my favorite...

al shabbray 08.17.2008 07:37 AM

I really like wild at heart, but the last time watching it is almost around 5 years in the past. my favourite work of lynch is twin peaks in its whole. it got everything lynch is a master at I think, the humor, the style, the music, the characters, the gloomy moments, perfect.

one of my favourite fliks is lost highway, this is more horror then horror can be.
mulholland drive is also great. inland empire is really long, only watched it once, and dont want too say somethign abotu it too early.
the TP movie is also great, but only if you know the series I think

with which of his works you would compare blue velvet?

atsonicpark 08.17.2008 07:46 AM

Hmm, I dunno, it's not really like any of his works. I guess it's probably his darkest movie (in tone) except for Lost Highway, so that'd be comparable. It's more straightforward like the Twin Peaks series though. I dunno, it's a very beautiful and rewarding film.

Another great movie of his is the PG-rated (or is it G-Rated?) "Straight Story". Imagine something almost akin to a family film.. but Lynch-like. It's still quite weird and awesome.

I agree, though, Twin Peaks as a whole is just un-fucking-believable...

Lynch is great, he's actually a big Beefheart fan, he talks about Beefheart in "Lynch on Lynch" and he did a cover of Beefheart's "Peon".. well, it's just him reading the lyrics... but yeah, at some Beefheart celebration thing a few years back. Pretty weird.

al shabbray 08.17.2008 07:58 AM

I saw the trailer for straight story and definately high on my list of what to see by lynch.
I also love badalamentis work on all the lynch projects, he got an awesome feel for what lynch tries to express and he nails it everytime musical wise. I think twin peaks without badalamentis work would only be the half of the fun I think.
and dark is always good. lynch produces the best kind of dark I know.

MellySingsDoom 08.17.2008 08:41 AM

LOL at floatingslowly "Nom Nom Nom" comment.

I think I might know why Isabella Rosselini left Lynch now....

diskaholic-anonymous 08.17.2008 08:46 AM

it's like his movies...weird!!! good but weird!

al shabbray 08.17.2008 08:48 AM

iN HEAVEN, EVERYTHING IS FINE

It's a masterpiece of surreal horror. It's not as fucked up as say, Tetsuo or whatever but it's got such a strong, intense atmosphere. By the end of it, you feel like you ARE Henry Spencer.

al shabbray 08.17.2008 03:49 PM

sounds great. lynch is really the master of atmosphere. especially of gloomy ones

Derek 08.17.2008 03:51 PM

Plus it's in black and white, so that's a bonus!

Everyneurotic 08.17.2008 03:56 PM

hahahahaha, classic.

I wanted to try and watch a bunch of movies turning the "saturation" to 0 on the tv, so even full colours movies would be BW.

smart, huh?

SuperCreep 08.17.2008 04:23 PM

I really need to get around to seeing more Lynch. I've only seen Eraserhead and was obsessed with it for like...a year. I even had my hair styled like Henry Spencer's for a short while.

al shabbray 08.17.2008 04:24 PM

how can you be obsessed with a film an not thinkin about watching other suff by the creator? :)

SuperCreep 08.17.2008 04:26 PM

I was taking my time to bask in it's awesomeness, I suppose.

Where's a good film to go with next?

Derek 08.17.2008 04:33 PM

Mulholland Drive!

al shabbray 08.17.2008 04:42 PM

I would say lost highway, cause its darker and more horror.
but I havent seen eraserhead so far...

atsonicpark 08.17.2008 05:40 PM

Eraserhead's cool.

I really like "the short films of David Lynch".
