Let's have a serious conversation about color

I'm not sure if my favorite color is blue, red, or green. They are just so great in there own right. I don't think red and green go very well together though, they really clash. Green and blue or green and red work well.

Trasher02 05.11.2006 01:44 PM

Green and Blue are awesom, Red sucks.
I mean the word Green itself rules.
"Greeeeeeeeeeeeeen" "Greeeeeeeeen"
Come on say it with me
"Greeeeeeeeeeeen"

!@#$%! 05.11.2006 01:46 PM

red fucking rules over the universe

the color of bright blood, is best. but do not underestimate the awesome powers of crimson-- like that dark thick syrup that drips from veins.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 05.11.2006 01:47 PM

Red is so violent and sexy though.

Trasher02 05.11.2006 01:53 PM

which is it.
my favorite color is orange, although i own nothing orange.

!@#$%! 05.11.2006 02:00 PM

ah, orange a close second to red, so delicious. i used to have an orange wall.

truncated 05.11.2006 02:12 PM

Red and black. Fabulous alone, better together. This is not opinion, but fact.

johnnywinternoshow 05.11.2006 02:12 PM

my favourite coloUrs (damn american shortcuts) are purple and yellow and if its clothes, my favourite is brown.

When I'm painting, I love bright primary colours, my least favourite being white because I go through a tube of it in 1/3 of the time it takes me to finish any other colour. Fucking cunt! I love the combination of red and blue cus they clash

I'm gonna stop now cus I sound far too pretentious already but I'm too lazy to change it

PunkerViolence 05.11.2006 02:15 PM

Its purple, man.

Purple is dark, shady, thoughtful, and a very mysterious colour.

Black and White are in there own realm of awesomeness.

qprogeny79 05.11.2006 02:26 PM

no one ever pays enough attention to CLEAR.

let's hear it for clear.

Iain 05.11.2006 02:35 PM

Purple is good and I like green a lot as well. Not so keen on orange I must say. I do own underpants in all the above colours though.

Glice 05.11.2006 02:35 PM

Clear? What, you mean the absence of colour?

I thought this was white. At least, my high school art teacher told me that. Eh, she was a bitch anyway.

I too like green. Red or purple come in a close second.

Underpants are for suckers.
It's a scam, man!
Except in the case of wool pants.

Iain 05.11.2006 02:47 PM

Underpants are great....I mean, c'mon...underpants. Do I even need to explain the whys and wherefores?

Savage Clone 05.11.2006 02:49 PM

Oh man, the Underpants Council has gotten to you, too? Say it ain't so!
Iain=Patty Hearst

Пятхъдесят Шест 05.11.2006 02:51 PM

I think underwe--uh, underpants serve their purpose quite well.

Iain 05.11.2006 02:54 PM

Oh man...are you trying to draw some kind of parallel between underpants and the Symbionese Liberation Army here?

!@#$%! 05.11.2006 02:57 PM

no, he wears leather pants; my guess is he just wipes off the skidmarks-- and if not....

black underwear rules. ha ha ha.

h8kurdt 05.11.2006 02:59 PM

The word 'colour' dates back to the medevil times in England but contary to popular belief it was spelt 'color' not what brits thing to be right 'colour'. So for once the americans are right.......i'll get me coat.

Iain 05.11.2006 03:01 PM

Yes....my trousers aren't made from easywipe materials such as leather. So pants for an important barrier between my trousers and my arse.

edit: sorry, this has turned from a serious discussion about colour into a semi-serious discussion about underpants and I feel it is primarily my fault.

h8kurdt 05.11.2006 03:02 PM

Have you ever gone commando? Now that is a weird feeling.

!@#$%! 05.11.2006 03:04 PM

commando works great in, say, the jungle, but beware of crafty mosquitoes,

screamingskull 05.11.2006 06:05 PM

my favourite colour is grey. light grey.

I have an ambivalent relationship with going commando.

krastian 05.11.2006 06:10 PM

My favorite is green.....I always associate it with life and nature plus it's my mom's favorite and I was born on St. Patricks Day.:D

porkmarras 05.12.2006 03:39 AM

''And there's some green, and there's some white, and there's some gold but brighter colors i have left you to behold''

Alex's Trip 05.12.2006 08:08 AM

Try to imagine a new color that couldn't be classified as anything that is already existing. It is hard.

ploesj 05.12.2006 11:13 AM

i absolutely love blue, white, green and brown in my clothes, but i prefer black and red when im drawing.. the effect when you combine them can be great.. although drawing in blue pen is fun too.

I've tried to do that before. There are colors that are outside our spectrum of viewing, like infrared and ultraviolet.

Although really, those colors are just frequencies of light that are brain interprets as colors. So colors are all in our head.

elix it 05.12.2006 11:34 AM

I'm color blind... you jerks.

Magublafix 05.12.2006 12:52 PM

blue and maybe green, but blue is my favourit....

h8kurdt 05.12.2006 12:53 PM

Mine too. Great colurs, do they mean anything personalitiy-wise?

atari 2600 05.12.2006 03:55 PM

black of course is the absence of color & white is the presence of all colors in the visible spectrum.

Although, if you mix all the colors on a palette, you get brown, not white, which serves to point towards our basic creatureliness in my mind...God being Light, light being white & shit being brown. Well, usually it's brown, that is.

every culture that has ever been documented has a word for these 3 colors:

black, white, & red.

since the dawn of time, primitive African cosmologies/theologies have regarded these 3 colors as sacred & important to tribal religion.

one would think that green would figure in as primally also, but it doesn't.

of course, nowadays Africa has constant civil wars because Russia & the USA like to sell them their leftover weapons.

!@#$%! 05.12.2006 05:35 PM

^^ i don't know how to say it properly but this post is awesome in its apparently random associations that aren't really random--

fuckin a

but i'll leave the alchemical talk for another day (for another place!)

HaydenAsche 05.12.2006 07:10 PM

I like brown, white, grey, black. I'm not huge on colours but if I have to choose it would be like a dark maroon are almost white looking blue.
