ALIEN ANAL 06.12.2007 07:23 AM

i dont dig the rop right
i like the bottom left

iv been designing a few new shirts, jsut need to work out how to make them stencils and ill be right.

nicfit 06.12.2007 07:24 AM

Waaah, thought you'd put in here things ready to be printed or silkscreened.
the second one is great, don't like much the others.

pbradley 06.12.2007 07:30 AM

I'm not hip enough to wear crazy designer t-shirts.

ALIEN ANAL 06.12.2007 07:43 AM

i think ill make a shirt tonight might have a go at doing it by hand and not using silk screen or stencils

sarramkrop 06.12.2007 07:47 AM

With the right fabric paint, you can do wonderful things.

ALIEN ANAL 06.12.2007 07:53 AM

i wont be using a brush, im thinking of using skewers and pencils with the tips coverd in the paint
i think itll be pretty easy if i jsut draw it out first
ill take pics of the steps of it for you guys if your bored enough :P

sarramkrop 06.12.2007 08:00 AM

Not a tshirt, but I really like this jacket:

ALIEN ANAL 06.12.2007 08:05 AM

ugh hate the design

ALIEN ANAL 06.12.2007 08:15 AM

so i found using a stiff dried up brush works better than a clean brush with loose hairs

king_buzzo 06.12.2007 08:32 AM

Cook mr marras, I like the first one.

ALIEN ANAL 06.12.2007 09:14 AM

are shirts like that just print ons or what? do people hand draw those or just draw the design and get a machine to do it?

jimbrim 06.12.2007 09:19 AM

Not entirely sure, but i think the majority of them are hand drawn and then printed on using a machine.

haha sure, I'm bored enough. I've seen some finished t-shirts you've done, they're really good.

I like the more simple t-shirt designs, without too much of them modern scribbles and random text everywhere which seem to be quite popular at the moment.

ALIEN ANAL 06.12.2007 09:37 AM

haha sorry green mind, i finished the shirt already
it turned out not too good, i now know why i use a silk screen and stencils, the shirt i used is also too big and doesnt fit me.
but heres a picture anyway, its not one of my good shirts and it was just a test so dont judge my skills based on this shirt

just a test !

val-holla-ing 06.12.2007 10:05 AM

i really like that bottom one.

digitalgravel.com usually has shirts with pretty great prints on them.

still in early stages

Norma J 06.14.2007 01:41 AM

What did you make that with? Screen? Iron on? Texta?

iFreezeTime 06.14.2007 01:43 AM

I like that black one in the first post with the talk bubble type designs. I enjoy fun stuff like that.

I really like tshirts made by Olly Moss and Riley Stroope. I'll try to dig up some links to their shirt designs and post them.

I have a few friends that make shirts. One makes them just using markers and paints and hand draws on the shirts. Other friends that have more money and resources will digitize their design and print out a screen and make them on a machine.

Kinda just depends on the aesthetic of the artist and the desire to sell the shirts too.

i normaly use a silk screen and stencils but im having a go at doing it by hands with the paints, i just made a bunch of tools out of paper and stuff to get the shapes i want and pencils with paint on the end.

some of mine:

ALIEN ANAL 12.30.2007 11:10 PM

iv been asked to design a tee for a local band
but its kinda hard when i dont really know the band or what sort of image they have

my first design i quickly did was a close up of bamboo and the bands name carved into it

this isnt the complete version but you can get a rough idea

but then my gf said she couldnt imagine fans wearing it, as the band often plays at metal gigs.

thoughts?

ALIEN ANAL 12.31.2007 11:21 PM

heres another silly design
just doodling on shirts hoping to come up with something

ALIEN ANAL 01.01.2008 12:36 PM
