Kate Moss' range for Topshop

Stinker to these eyes.

Pookie 05.03.2007 06:36 AM

What you talking about?

sarramkrop 05.03.2007 06:37 AM

The range of clothes that she designed for Topshop.

sonicl 05.03.2007 06:38 AM

I'd buy this skirt for the missus

Well, I would if it wasn't so stupidly expensive.

It's all just a PR gimmick though, isn't it?

Pookie 05.03.2007 06:42 AM

It all seems pretty ordinary but quite expensive for Topshop. Aren't their clothes supposed to be 'affordable'?

sarramkrop 05.03.2007 06:44 AM

Also, there is outrage on the papers because mothers allowed their girls to miss school, so that they could join the queues for the opening day.

havnt really seen what they are like but there was a line down the street in town yesterday.

sonicl 05.03.2007 06:47 AM

Top Shop website

sarramkrop 05.03.2007 06:50 AM

Lisa from Chiswick snatched this first, i think. There were pictures of her on the newspaper in a particularly triumphant mood.

Pookie 05.03.2007 06:50 AM

I looked at the Topshop website, and then realised the shop next door is Topshop. I simply must pop next door and have a look:rolleyes: .

jon boy 05.03.2007 06:51 AM

isnt it restricted to five items per customer?

sonicl 05.03.2007 06:52 AM

Having looked on the topshop website, that stuff's all pretty naff. I still like the skirt that was on ebay though.

All in all, a stinker, but obviously good for PR.

sarramkrop 05.03.2007 06:54 AM

Nefeli, I don't know when you visited Topshop last time, but it is popular with teens and grown up women alike because they reproduce a lot of catwalk clothes for affordable prices. It's become really popular in the past 10/11 years. There's also Topman for the guys.

sonicl 05.03.2007 06:57 AM

I think Top Shop / Top Man went a bit too downmarket at one point though. Their place has been taken by Hennes, and I think this Kate Moss range is their attempt to fight back (particularly in view of Hennes' Madonna range). No doubt we will soon see the Pete Doherty menswear range in Top Man.

sarramkrop 05.03.2007 06:59 AM

Not really. Topshop is the Tesco of high street clothes shopping, in London at least (and not the only one). Hennes? Where? In Leafy Surrey?

sonicl 05.03.2007 07:03 AM

Zara - cheap? They seem to be one of the classier High Street chains to me, and relatively pricey. I bought a very nice black linen short sleeve shirt from there a couple of weeks ago though, it's one of my favourite clothing purchases in ages.

Pookie 05.03.2007 07:06 AM

Hennes is much better than TS. They have really good children's clothes as well.

sarramkrop 05.03.2007 07:08 AM

Quality-wise totally, but Top Shop wins the battle of sales, for better or worse. Personally, I don't like Topshop.

Pookie 05.03.2007 07:08 AM

The most expensive item I've ever bought came from Zara. Some nice stuff, but a bit pricey for me.

jon boy 05.03.2007 07:31 AM

never got anything from zara, it all made me look like a catalogue model or that i spent my time swanning along beaches plus its was pretty expensive so...

Iain 05.03.2007 08:21 AM

Zara is cheap as hell on the continent apparently. I went in there once and it seemed averagely priced. A bit too pricey for me but I don't like spending too much on clothes. H+M all the way for me.

Pookie 05.03.2007 08:31 AM

My local Hennes don't men's clothes alas.

I thought that was Primark

I like Kate Moss, she beautiful in a wholly original way. I like girls that look different, and are pretty in their own way.

Not much of a fashion person really...everything I own is black.

schizophrenicroom 05.03.2007 05:30 PM

i love kate moss, but these clothes are pretty boring. everything's starting to look the same in stores.

Katy 05.04.2007 12:52 PM

Madonna's range for H&M was way better. Kate Moss's Topshop range wasn't even designed by her and most of it is available 90% cheaper at Primark anyway. Totally unoriginal, uninspired. Half of it doesn't even look like Kate Moss's style either.

jon boy 05.04.2007 12:54 PM

a girl passed out in top shop yesterday.

jon boy 05.08.2007 06:49 AM

so it seems they are all at it now. lily allen is set to launch her own as well:

Genteel Death 06.19.2012 11:14 AM

Primark's clothes are generally made of shit but I got a blue shirt with white polka dots from them and I get nice comments about it a lot at the moment.
