F A Cup semi-final draw

Blackburn vs Chelsea or Tottenham
Watford vs Manchester United or Middlesbrough

So it looks like Chelsea will be beating Manchester United in a major final twice in the same week then.

Pookie 03.12.2007 09:00 AM

The lads done good.

sonicl 03.12.2007 09:02 AM

Would you like to come to a football match, Pookie?

how often have i said that in the last 7 years!!!

tru, spurs were unlucky but we will have em at the lane! and i fancy our chances against rovers at the moment. . 2 cups for the spurs this year... i think so!!!!!

the ikara cult 03.12.2007 06:10 PM

I dunno, they were there for the taking on Sunday. The way we've been playing recently is insane and the minute we stop scoring is the minute we lose 4-0. I dont think we were great on Sunday its just that Chelsea were more like Watford in the first half. If they have either Terry or Makelele back theyll definitely beat us.

sonicl 04.13.2007 06:58 AM

COME ON YOU BLUE BOYS!!!!

fishmonkey 04.13.2007 07:03 AM

I don't mind. As long as nobody cheers too loudly. Some of those football fans can be a bit raucous I've heard.

sonicl 04.13.2007 08:22 AM

Ah, you should go and watch Manchester United. There's no chance of their fans spoiling your afternoon nap.

Danny Himself 04.13.2007 08:25 AM

Fuck the FA Cup. The Champions League draw is so much more exciting.

Danny Himself 04.15.2007 05:17 PM

The Scouse are fine people. Out of my own experience I say.

sonicl 04.16.2007 04:52 AM

Why do people from the north of England take the phrase "The Northern Scum" so personally? It's capitalised for a reason, you know, it's a term of disaffection for a particular football club, whose name I cannot bring myself to utter, and its fans. It's no different to describing another team, from the north-east, as The Smog Monsters.

For the record, Liverpudlians, individually, are, indeed, fine people. En masse, wearing red shirts, they are Scouse Bastards.

jico. 04.16.2007 05:53 AM

haha we've the same thing here, Nortenhos... Tripeiros!

yey, cant wait to see all those chels - manu matches.

sonicl 04.16.2007 07:04 AM

PFA player of the year nominations:

Didier Drogba (Chelsea)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Northern Scum)
Wayne Rooney (Northern Scum)
Ryan Giggs (Northern Scum)
Paul Scholes (Northern Scum)
Steven Gerrard (Scouse Bastards)
Cesc Fabregas (North London Scum)

I don't know why they bother going through the charade of having nominations, it's a foregone conculsion that Ronaldo will sweep the board as far as player of the year awards is concerned. As a footballer, he gets right on my tits, the arrogant little son-of-a, but there's no denying that he's been far and away the premiership's best player this year.

They should do a Goalie of the Year award as well though.

jico. 04.16.2007 07:08 AM

he wins that too?

and he's a winger!

atari 2600 04.25.2007 03:06 PM

I wonder if Liverpool can manage a win against Chelsea.

ESPN2 has been televising some of the UEFA Championship matches.

Danny Himself 04.25.2007 03:20 PM

Well, Liverpool are losing so far in this first leg against Chelsea.

We've done this before, though, so all hope is not lost..

sonicl 04.26.2007 01:25 AM

He's here
He's there
He's everyfuckingwhere
Joey Cole!
Joey Cole!

Roll on next Tuesday.

nicfit 04.26.2007 02:05 AM

I'm sad, I'm a Liverpool supporter. But it was a totally different game in the second half, there's still hope.

We'll be sending you postcards from Aruba, Nicfit, where we'll go on holiday with sonicl.

sonicl 04.26.2007 04:38 AM

I'm hoping to go to Athens for my holiday this year, during the week of 23rd May! :D

I think that Liverpool could leave in reasonable heart because Chelsea neglected to pound home the advantage. That is an intermittent fault in Jose Mourinho's team, who had also failed to kill off Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup and so subjected themselves to extra-time. The weakness highlights the absence of a predator, despite the £30m expended on Andriy Shevchenko.

I was on the isle of Rhodes last year. Wonderful land, just too many British tourists for my taste.
