But I know a ton of people who tried to read it and put it down. I'm glad I stuck with it. It was my favorite book of whatever fucking year that was.

ironically while the nick cage version is mos def a terrible flick i found it better than the original. sure the original was an innovative film but it was technically crap and cheese

oh no, i "got it" just fine but i still think it sucks. you did realize, i know its amazing but true, that people can understand art without liking it yes? stop being so damn condescending all the time, its just a handful of us here posting and the whole !@#$! is smarter than everyone routine is played the fuck out.

crap production and cheesy acting is what b movies are all about-- and b movies can be great not just in spite but because of that-- because someone with no money went and made some shit they wanted regardless of obstacles

mark kermode (is that really mark kermode?) actually makes a point of that in the link in posted-- so many things are wrong with it etc. and yet-- because of it-- he loves it.

b movies have changed civilization, b movies can be fucking great, and the original wicker man is definitely one of the great b movies out there.

as far as my opinion? there are b movies where the crap and cheese are still good enough indeed sometimes its part of the charm. personally i found it too much garbage to save the original Wicker Man which i also found to be sort of incoherent and confused.

realistically i thought wicker man should have been MST3K fodder

again i have no problem with your opinion and i have no problem with your opinion of my opinion. what i don't appreciate is you insisting three times no less that somehow i am misunderstanding or lacked the comprehension skills to "get it" simply because i didn't like it. there is a world of difference.

speaking of comprehension skills i know you are smart enough to know exactly what you were saying and to "get" exactly why it was snide remarks so why not just own up to and say "my bad" and then we can indeed talk about the movie
