Yoshi's Island for SNES is my favorite game of all time, if I had to pick just one. Everything about it is perfect.

On 2nd thought, I'll just stick to the extension cable. PM me your address so I can mail you the money?
Thanks for taking the time to take that pic though. |
Yeah, actually playing the GBA version, on the Gamecube! Whee! I'm not sure -- did they add anything to this version? I'm just so pissed off, because the battery died on my SNES version. Luckily my girlfriend has the GBA one and she gave it to me for our 1 year.
|
a i dont remember anything added to that one... most of the Mario Advance series is the same thing as the Super Mario Allstars version or SNES originals with added voice clips. And of course the ability to save progress.
EDIT: its already been a year?? |
yep, november 9th. nuts!
|
cool man. Good for you (both)
|
alshab, remember when I was making you a list of my absolute favorite GBA games? I meant to tell you to add Iridion II to that list. I know I had a list going...
|
yes you had!
I dont know Idirion II but instantly will google it! btw. Populus Arrived. will bring the two games on its way on monday. so last chance to make any decisions ragarding our trade!!! (thanks for connecting me to the guy who will get a CIB Shadowrun copy for me) I am playing this (while still being addicted to shining soul 2 like never before: ![]() one of the few really good Co-Op jump n runs. and its really Co-Op! awesome Edit: Idirion looks superb!!!! And I am thinking bout getting musha adn/or thunder force 4 for the Genesis thats right up my alley at the moment! |
al everything sounds GO for our trade. :)
glad the racketboy trade worked out for you as well. I have the Game Boy Ren & Stimpy games... they blow. How's the 16-bit ones? Yeah Iridion II rules. Iridion 3D not so much. Info on sndtrk on my blog. |

I dont know other then the genny one. and that is definately a winner!!! co-op mode is just awesome. you run around together and you often have to use the other player (ren//stimpy) to overcome obstacles. and thats where the fun begins. plus the R&S MAdness and cool graphics. only flaw: its sometimes a lil unfair, but manageable!!!! |
Been playing the new Medal of Honor online which is a lot better than the mediocre reviews it got. I just scored Dead Space for 10 bucks off Ebay, so I'll be getting into that insanity shortly.
Looking forward to NBA Jam, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and Black Ops. Hit me up on Xbox Live if you are on there.....I'm krastian on there too. |
![]() GODDAMN I love this game. |
The three games I've been playing on-off for the last month or so have been Elder Scrolls, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, and Team Fortress 2. That's really all I need.

thanks man. I simpsonized her for our anniversary: ![]() (PS: Here's me as a simpson, with a regular picture of me for comparison: ![]() ![]() (my hair is usually longer and redder) I got her: - raspberry smirnoff - a cd of acoustic guitar playing, limited to one copy, I made specifically for her, which will never heard by another living soul! - junky and queer by burrougghs - stereolab - not music - these socks!: ![]() ... to make it game related, she got me DIABLO for the ps1! |
For people who want a Gamecube controller extension cable, there is another option. Buy yourself a brand spanking new Japanese~exclusive WHITE GC controller off Ebay! I did. Money well spent I say. They come with a longer cable and white is sexy!

wtf is death duel? a genesis game I dont know??? hell yeah |
I first heard of it through a friend who claimed it was his absolute favorite game as a kid. Death Duel is pretty much insane. You play as this giant, upgradable robot and you duel to the death from a first person view on an alien desert, but there's a lot of strategy due to all the destroyable objects in between you, and your opponent that you can temporarily hide behind. You get 3 weapons at a time, which you can purchase at the store from this fucked-up cyborg dude and his monkey.
![]() (CHECK OUT THAT CARNAGE!!!) If you run out of health, ammo, or time - you lose. So you really have to develop a strategy to ensure that you continue on to the next challenger. Think Punch-Out, except with giant robots/monsters instead of puny humans, and missles/grenades/machine guns instead of boxing gloves. Oh yeah, and then there's the 16 bit ring sluts who say catchy phrases like "Kick his asteroids!" ![]() The action-packed game really has a top-notch sense of humor. ![]() Here's a pretty good video review of the game from one of my favorite game critics if anyone is interested... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G78tRzVw7so |
^^damn this sound great is it two player also?
will watch the vid now. |

after the all the mentions n this thread recently I put my cart on for a short pause of shining soul 2. and Ive seen that I got just one of those bonus levels at the end, not all. I replayed them and remembered how fucking difficult they are. anybody finished them all??? |
its ok but it focuses a lot more on the development of the story and the appearance of the game itself.. the presentation. i mean its decent but for all the hype it got it wasnt too spectacular. it has a nice atmosphere and its decent, you basically just press buttons that appear on the screen in order to determine what happens.. you cant really fully control the character you are and randomly walk wherever you want. im not sure if id recommend it.. i havent played a whole lot of it. but unless you get hooked with the atmosphere of the game and the story (which actually is really good) you might get bored after a while.
^^ @EVOLghost if you do want recommendations for ps3 the only thing ive played recently for it is uncharted 2, which was surprisingly good. unless of course youve played it already.. |
hmmmm that doesn't sound too bad. I mean. if it's a good story. hell yeah i'd go after it. so....I think I might. I've been meaning to get a new HDD for my ps3 for more games....but yeh...I'm in frugal mode atm.

I am reposting this cause otherwise it will drop dead on the last page which none of you lazy bastards will ever read again, hrhrhr

I have not. Actually the reason I popped this in last night was I realized it's one of the few 2D mario's I haven't beaten oddly enough. SMB - can get to 8-3 SMB2 (US) - can beat it in under a half hour SMB2 (JPN) - yeah right SMB3 - can beat it, but it does get challenging toward the end SML - can beat it in like 20 mins. SML2 - I'm right at the end SML3 (WL) - I'm not a huge fan of this one, so haven't stuck with it SMW - can beat it easily, but still my favorite of the series. |
Sml? Which is that?
|

Super Mario LAND |
^^that sthe one I can beat with a regular session on the toilet.
one of the first games I ve beaten in my life |
Super Mario land. I've never heard of that series.
|
I'll look it up when I'm not on my phone.
|

yeah I can beat SML in like 15-20 mins. |

yr serious? Those are the Game Boy games. The third Super Mario Land is also the first Wario Land (first game to have Wario as the main playable character) |
I cant imagine somebody never played a SML
|
yep that's me. hehe.
|
then you still got some classic j n r game history before you :)
