A lot better than mario 64, Galaxy gets rid a lot of the dull elements of 64 i.e. ages spent running from A to B, and also sorts out the camera problems, plus the worlds are much more visually interestnig, and overall it's a much more atmospheric game, and the controls are great. Mario Galexy is as much an improvement over Mario 64 as Super Mario 3 was over Super Mario Bros |

yup. It's actually amazing how close they got a fricking GB game to come to the feel of a SNES game! |

I've played both, and I honestly prefer Meteos (DS) Quote:
Thank you. This is the answer I was looking for. PS: Link's Awakening is the shit. |
Super Mario Crossover Play as Mario, Samus, Simon(castlevania), Megaman, or Bill(contra)

Before I play Conviction:

![]() AU$20 | US$18:50 = Steal! Super cool game. It has bits and pieces taken from all of the Mario Bros. games to date and also runs with 'sidescrolling' instead of 3D, like the original. First Mario Bros. to have multi-players, too, which is really fun. Bought 007 Bond (Wii) awhile back but haven't started it yet. Played multi-player the other day which totally brought me back to Golden Eye on 64! Finishing a season of NBA '08 as the Lakers - second on the leader board nearing the finals! haha. |

right!!! couldnt agree more btw I love the adaptin for the GBA. do you know how well it is in comparison to the original over the big screen? |
I bought a new graphics card this weekend so I thought it might be a good idea to try it out on some real graphics-heavy game.
So I bought GTA IV. The game is playable, it runs real fast, but I can't save the game progress because of Windows Live Gaming system or whatever the fuck it's called. I can't register to this system, hence i'm unable to save game. Pretty fucking annoying if you ask me. You pay 25€ for a game that you can't even play properly. |
^^yes
thats the reason why I always preferred consoles over playing at the comp. just plug & play. it happened too often to me the same way! |
but you know ... if I were to download illegal copies and mess with cracks, patches and stuff, i'd fully deserve such a torture. but this happening with an actual legal purchase????
|
you can make an offline profile and save without problems, methinks.
|
yeah exactly.
if you try to play a rip there is no need to complain. but its pretty difficult to release such a game on a platform where almost nobody got the same hardware setup. console versions are (more or less) optimized for their systems. the only thing you can blame the developers for are often these ridiculous minimum system requirements, which are never enough! and the bugs, sometimes I got the feeling that they use the actual consumer as beta-testers just to look where they complain the most and release a patch afterwards. but you as the consumer spend some money on smth you cant really use. that sucks |

i'll try this, grazie. i think i've seen that option somewhere in the game there. |
damn too much rant about nothing :)
|
anyways, that game looks fantastic. just such a plain think like climbing up a crane and taking a look at night Liberty city skyline ... yeah

taken from yahoo answers (not the most reliable source, but I think this should be the correct process..): "you can create an offline profile for which you need not register. "Skip login" in Rockstar social club. Then go to "Games for Windows Live account" by pressing the "Home" key on your keyboard.(Its near page up/down buttons on a desktop keyboard) Click on "create offline profile" or something like that. Don't know the exact words but you'll find this offline profile option easily. Then you may save your game by sleeping in your safe-house." |

yep, I love that kind of games. It's pretty AWFULLY optimized, but the game itself is lovely, imo. I've had it installed for a year and a half and I still play just for a ride from time to time. And there are the new "episodes" for pc too now, eheeeh! what's your pc setup? I played Just Cause 2 at a friend's house, the story/actual missions are boring, but if you like free roaming games and enjoy just flying over a nice place and jumping off planes, waterfalls, etc it's pretty fun and good lookin'. ![]() there's not much to do besides going around (while in GTA you can play in-game games etc etc), but still worth a try (there's the demo somewhere). |
my pc setup?
some dual-core 2.4 processor, 2Gb ram, some video card (4-digit number starting with 5, but i can't remember the other three), a keyboard and a mouse. I'm not very good with technical detail, as you might have noticed :) Anyways, the "roaming" factor is exactly the thing I loved about GTA Vice City - just taking a helicopter, flying around the city and then landing on your private mansion helipad ... very nice indeed.. That game had a very distinctive 80s atmosphere which was really great too (including the 80s hits on the radio etc etc). |
^^^behold everyone, this motherfucker has not only a keyboard, but also a mouse!
a mouse!!!!!!1111  |
