I still don't understand how he managed to play for Newcastle for 5 years. I guess it's the pace, has zero intelligence. |

okay so you didn't lose 7-1 which is good! and you had a respectable first half... or first half of the first half? but anyway, france is champion and a favorite to reach the final so... count your blessings? Quote:
i almost threw a shoe at the tv |
hooooleeeee sheeeeeettt japanz!!!

courtois hell yeah
- earlier on i watched half of costa rica's butchering at the hands of spain. skipped the second half because goddamn, the abuse got boring. 7-0 lol. - 26' into the current game, surprised at canada's threats against belgium. how? why? weird... eta: belgium's carelessness with possession and reliance on long balls to attack is giving tactical advantage to canada's youth and speed i think. ... well, finally! michy batshuayi does the deed. still, not a good game from belgium regarding general gameplay. very puzzling tactics. - i don't see belgium gelling as a team. have they practiced together enough? it's like they're set to serve up to lukaku but batshuayi is no lukaku. - what a crap game and disappointment |
I'm watching the match on Belgian TV, but the Canadians would deserve it if they win it. But if you don't score you won't win.
if you're bored, read this :-) Quotes by Johan Cruyff |
Graham Arnold is an incredibly unadventurous manager, tactics are basically identical regardless of the state of the game. France was obviously the better team and I'd have taken a 4-1 result at the start of the day, but if we could've gone into half time at least tied things would've been more interesting.
Canada is a pretty solid team! Belgium probably were underprepared but the Canadians have nothing to be ashamed of. |

In the entire match the Dutch had only 6 touches in the penalty zone of the other team. That's piss poor
In the first half they had like 400 passes, 95% of them were in their own half. That's piss poor I hope Qatar wins their next match against us! |

usa vs england literally put me to sleep. i think that might have been a secret nato military exercise.

tight germany-spain game so far. i saw a slight spanish advantage but so slight it's barely there, and it was germany who scored first after all--that offside call a bit too bullshit for my taste, "for the slow-motion camera only".
-- morata goes in, germany does not respond to the substitution, and paff, ace morata goal i expect germany to lose their shit now because this is what they do -- well well well i'm glad i was wrong :) |
Iran calls for US to be kicked out of 2022 World Cup after it changes Iran flag on social media to show support for protesters
Yeah, not gonna happen. I'm definitely watching that game, though... |

The Pope is Argentinian, for starters, so the infidels needed to suffer! Unless something equally catastrophic happens against Poland, Argentina is going to win the group anyway. They didn't have to do much to defeat an ossified México led by a Martino who seems to have lost all his Bielsa-ish mojo. |
