This super league concept is pure heresy.
All the long european cups' tradition goes to waste. |
Yeah, I feel sorry for the players and coaches of those teams. They have no part in it, it's all decided above their heads but they now have to deal with angry fans and questions about it during press conferences.
I keep visiting that page I linked above for updates, won't post all the updates here, but this one I liked a lot: Quote:
So far not one person has spoken out in favor of the ESL, and the high bosses of those clubs keep quiet too. Update: That last part is not exactly true. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has spoken, it's quoted on that page, on page 3 right now. He says the clubs are out of money. Well, the salary for the players have been insane for years. It's to be expected that the clubs would run out of money that way ..... |
The big clubs have always been running out of money.
Now and then a club gets relegated for that, but never a big name. Consider Man U and its owner. The club needs money? The owner lends the club money. So the club owes its owner money. Big. As there's interests. |
This shit is changing by the hour.
As it stands Chelsea have pulled out. Man City, Barca, and Atletico are going to. There's going to be a zoom meeting with all the presidents about it tonight. Doesn't matter because it's crumbling before their very eyes and no matter what they do it won't work. AND now Agnellil has resigned as president of Juventus. What a fucking ride. Let them all burn is what I say. |

Fuck em. Their own fault they've been running their teams shitty and now the chickens will be coming home to roost. |
It's all crumbling down now.
Chelsea supporters were especially heavily protesting: "Furious supporters held placards and threw sticks of celery ahead of the clash with Brighton on Tuesday." Sticks of celery????? That's the most severe hooliganism I've ever read!! :D (here's an explanation) |
the Premier League’s Big Six are all OUT of the European Super League.
What a shitshow they made of themselves |
man city v chelsea for champs league final? wtf

European Championship is starting tonight! Who's your favorite to win it this time? I'll be voting for Belgium as usual. But I hope there will be many surprises....

this continues to work -- eta: did anybody see italia? are the netherlands already in first place in group? i saw a fixture with them ready for the 27 in spite of having a match tomorrow. |
Italia played with sort of a B squad yesterday, because they already had enough points to go through to the next round anyway. But they still won it.
Today is Netherlands match, they also already have enough points, so might also play with a B squad. But as always I'm more interested in watching the Belgians. Who also may play with a B squad btw. |
