Oh, I recently netflix- queued all warner herzog movies, all abel ferrara movies I hadn't seen, and all brian depalma movies I hadn't seen.

Werner Herzog > God. "Aguirre, Wrath Of God" is one of the best films ever.

Started watching Hot Fuzz today.

I liked what I saw but I didn't actually see all of it.

Had to jump over some scenes because of skipping, then my mom came to pick me up so I didn't see the end.

I was not a big fan of Hot fuzz...

I dunno, I can't give a true opinion because like I said, I didn't see it all. Actually, come to think of ti I missed other parts because I was picking meat off my pizza haha.

Usually, I don't go for movies like it though. Which is why I haven't seen it until now.

oh my gawd, i loved a*teens!!! all abba songs sound better with techno beats and pro-tools production values. i loved that they had to have two guys and they did nothing except dance in the background and sing "su-papa, troo-papa".

Grizzly Man (2005) 6/10 < Treadwell was an idiot.
Zoo (2007) 9/10 < Beautiful and haunting all at the same time. Also, the soundtrack is perfect.

I mentioned this flick before because I watch it a couple of times a year:

The greatest comedy film ever conceived by the mind of man.

This was the last movie I watched, I enjoyed it!
I really like Pasolini's movies!!

I've probably seen this more times than should be allowable by law for someone my age.

I absolutely love Stephen Chow, I need to see more.


body parts - 7/10

Very cronenberg-influenced, surprisingly well-made and exciting the whole time. I thought as soon as dude found out he had the arm of a killer's, it'd just be him killing people or whatever but it ended up taking a few exciting directions.

It's weird, I actively search out really gory or trashy or bizarre/experimental films.......

but there's nothing like going back to stuff like Babe, Home Alone, Dutch, all those films I loved when I was younger.

Whoa - I was just reading a bit about Lauren Bacall because of this post - and it turns out she's first cousins with Shimon Peres.

What did you think of this. I have friends recommending me to see both versions?

Well, it's a shot-by-shot remake of the original, BY the original director. SO in a way you only need to see one or the other.

I thought it was excellent. It was realistic, disturbing and yet had a very good use of social commentary as well as sort of pointed injokes at fans of so-called "torture-porn." Stylistically, it's great. Wide shots, stationary cameras, no music create a realistic feel... then all the sudden the "fourth wall" is broken for a moment. (you'll see).

And all the acting was great (no surprises there, great cast). See it.

Hey!!! I'm watching this one right now! It's on TCM or something like that. Bogie rocks.

meh/10.

The 3rd was my favorite. The only one of the 3 I'd consider owning.
