Everton do it again. I'm absolutely beaming. DCL is finally looking like a decent striker with 5 goals in 5 games. Never doubted him...honest!
Ancelotti's reign begins |
nice!
congrats, and thanks for the news. im saving my eyes for tomorrow, lololol. |
Getting a tad tight at the bottom for West Ham, demo.
|
And Pellegrini has been sacked! To be expected, mind.

Should've happened weeks ago, but still. It's done now.
Strong rumours that Moyes is coming back. Wouldn't mind that till the end of the season but not longer. No clue who I'd want long term, but there's a growing side of me (call it spite?) that just says fuck it, give it to Di Canio. Aint gonna happen, though - and my more rational side understands why that's no bad thing. EDIT: Niko Kovac keeps getting mentioned on fan forums but I don't know if he's a realistic target. |
wow so far a great first half and this var call took too long, but im still impressed with wolves, especially first half hour. i expected them exhausted but no.
anyway here comes the rest — o wow they tie!! whatta game ...var gonna cancel? BULLSHIT too fucking much. this is the kind of thing that spoils the game. booo! |
I'm starting to really hate VAR.
Great 1st half though. Wolves have been excellent. Meanwhile Moyes it is (again), for 18 months. It's a negative move in many ways but one that, in the current circumstances, I suppose I'll take. We're a mess (again) so we need to steady the ship (again) before anyone even thinks about moving up to the 'next level' - whatever that is; right now it's 17th! Although I'm actually surprised Moyes even considered coming back after the way he was treated by the owners. |
yeah, you guys are doing it wrong, i don’t know. the brief time i saw var in the bundesliga it was quick, clear, and unobtrusive.
the first var call in this game was a fair one to make and it corrected a referee error. it was a shoulder, not a hand, goal stands. but it just took for fucking ever to make that call. OH SHEFFIELD SCORES LMAO oh another fucking var.... anyway.... a nice game but i feel wolves were cheated out of a tie now im blocked out of the sheffield game cuz i dont have that channel. good luck sheffield. eta: was gonna say the 2nd var call while technically correct was too fucking legalistic and ridiculous. anyway curious to see what happened to sheffield eta: oh, sheffield fucked by var too. what da... |

daaaaaaaaaaaamn
thanks for the copypasta. looks dismal, and maybe demonyo’s di canio prophecy will happen after all... |
Thanks for the c&p. Lots of good points.
Something that article doesn't really go into though is the culture of press leaks that've plagued the club since Sullivan, et al took ovr, and which are used mainly to undermine managers. That was a big issue during the protests in 17/18 and it seemed like the owners had gotten the message the season after, but the minute things began to go wrong this season, they started again. So the problem that'll be there at West Ham for as long as the current owners are in place is that no one who agrees to work with them will ever be seen by the fans as anything other than a £££ chaser. Even when Moyes frustrated me with his negative tactics during his 1st spell at WH, I still respected him but the fact he's willing to go through all that humiliation again, knowing who he's working for, means I'm not sure that I do anymore. I'm in that horrible position of supporting a team that I fundamentally dislike. |
speaking of west ham (poor west ham) i see they have a pending game against liverpool (poor west ham). seems to have been pending all season—when is it gonna finally happen? that’s 3 more points to drop

29th January
Honestly, I don't care how we do against Liverpool. They won't decide our fate. It's games like the one tomorrow against Bournemouth and Sheffield the week after that I worry about. Have to say: as much as I hate WH's situation right now, there is something strangely reassuring about it. That familiar sense of despair, especially after that weird flirtation with optimism pre-season. |
ah ok. yeah i didn’t mean that the life of the team depended on it. my idea was that your position on the table is slightly fictitious at the moment. your “real” position at 20 games is in fact lower, at least in probabilistic “not a chance in hell” terms. you still wouldn’t drop into relegation zone at 0 points added, but your goal difference is bound to suffer.
burnmouth is right above you and that would be the natural head to step over on the way up. i won’t get a chance to see it but will be curious about the reports. |
The last time we played Liverpool we held them to a draw. Our record against the bigger more established teams is actually disproportionately ok, having already beaten Chelsea and MU this season, and running Spurs very close. We usually up our game for those matches, which only adds to the frustration when we invariably capitulate against teams we'd consider easier. Typical situation: running MU off the park then going down 4-0 a few days later against lower league Oxford in the Carabao cup.

Bournemouth is such a beautiful game for both you and them.
Is there any goal more satisfying to see than an overhead kick? Makes me moist it does. |
Fuck me. Bernard injured during the warm up for Everton. Bet he was gonna have a killer of a game too. Bastard cunts.
Other news, I fucking hate Watford and the sight of the two wannabe alpha males Deeney and Pearson in the same team is just cringe worthy. |
wat da fuck, watford is beating wolves?
yeah, fuck them. then again a wolves game every other day is just fucking abusive on the players. pep is right in this regard. |
