I'm going nuts trying to find one of these adapters in store. =(
|
![]() why did no one tell me this game is so awesome? At first I was like, "Hmm.." but after 20 minutes of blowing EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD UP, I was hooked. This game will vibrator your dual shock like no one's business. The entire game is just dropping bombs and blowing yourself up, and robots up, and doors up, and buildings up, and planes up, just fire and explosions and loudness and an awesome techno soundtrack. ![]() this game embodies everything that made the playstation so fucking COOL and takes me back to what made the 90's so fucking awesome. |

pfft. Good luck. I got mine via internet trade. I'd send it to you to borrow, but the shoot would be over by the time you got it. |

|
![]() this was the reason why I bought a XBOX in the first place. And I still know why. the most beautyful überdestruction combined with an ethereal OST. omg how I still love this game! RPG style Hack n Slash par excellance |

![]() Saw my brother play this one the other day and was very impressed so I decided to start playing it today. Also, I've started playing another game on my brother's computer, it's called The Path and it's developed by an indie Belgian studio. It's also quite good, the plot is simple: you have to choose one little girl out of six (each one reminiscent of the little red riding hood) and the game asks you to follow the path to your grandma's house. If you do so, you fail, because you actually have to go OUT of the path and meet the wolf... The encounter is always different, depending on which little girl you've chosen. It's a very strange game with a weird atmosphere... Adam Cooley, do you know this one ? Something tells me you might like it ! There's a demo available somewhere I think. ![]() |
^I saw Yahtzee's "review" (let's be honest, very few people take the views he expresses on Zero Punctuation seriously) of Limbo the other day, and seeing that artwork for The Path makes me agree with him that nearly every indie game has an emo/goth motif...they say game makers wish they could be filmmakers, so it's like big developers want to be Michael Bay/John Woo, while indie studios wish they could be Tim Burton directing a movie screenwriten by Neil Gaiman...
It doesn't bother me, being at least partially into that sort of thing (not yet, anyway). |
I'm fully emerged in RE4 (Gamecube) with a little NBA Jam (Game Boy) season thrown in.

Played for three hours straight today... I think it's one of the best games I've played in a long time ! And GeneticKiss, I know what you mean, I also noticed that those indie games always look very "dark" and sometimes, yeah, like if Burton tried to make a game... But still, they're all unique. For instance, Limbo and Braid are two of the best XBLA games and they might look similar but they're pretty different... Anyway, this visual style doesn't bother me and I was completely amazed by Limbo ! |
^ damn
I might have to get another gamefly account. I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of next gen gaming. I still haven't played FFXIII and Red Dead Redemption....UGH! |

me tooo!!! I'm not into real time strategy, but TBS is awesome. I always think of em as sort of relaxing games. Like thinking and taking yr time having a drink relaxing. a couple I love are Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (GBA) and Rebelstar Tactical Command (GBA). My review of Rebelstar is here: http://www.rfgeneration.com/blogs/no...mmand-1369.php -- if you haven't played it, it's basically X-Com for the GBA. Amazing. Also I just picked up Fire Emblem Path Of Radiance (GCN) which I'm really excited to get started on. |
oh fuck yeah, that Fire Emblem game is awesome. I beat it, and a few of the Game Boy games. Obviously, yeah, I like Tactics, and quite a few Atlus PS2 tbs games, but my favorites are nippon ichi..
![]() Disgaea forever! |
dude Atlus rules in general... which reminds me I need to find Yggdra Union (GBA).
|
I have owned just about every game Atlus released for PS2 and PS1...
I got both of these at a pawn shop sealed last year ![]() ![]() for $10 a piece.. sold them both for a pretty pinny online! |
me no likey JRPG's. too much ....
|
I have a lot of Atlus GB/GBA stuff... have you played Riveira, adam?
also there's some SMT-related shit.... Revelations The Demon Slayer on GBC and Demi-Kids Light & Dark for GBA. DemiKids is cool shit. Sort of SMT-meets Pokemon. But I don't like Pokemon. And somehow this just works. I don't know. Kids studying demonology haha. |

I played Yahtzee's Chzo mythos games, and the later ones had that kind of goth vibe to them. They were still fine, though the first two were way better. The Path looks kind of...mmm whatever, music is kind of neat. Limbo looks pretty fun though, kind of Eraserhead looking. In terms of Indie games though I want to play this BAD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh2YYDcfT1Y I feel weird that I want to play this more than Starcraft II or Deus Ex III. But I'd love to play this one. |
Now I gotta go and buy that Limbo game damnit!

Yes ! It's really worth it, it's truly amazing... |
Has anyone played the harvey birdman game? Its 5 bucks at a used game store by my house, and I'm considering buying it.
|
Have you played the Phoenix Wright games? It's similiar, I've heard. I'd say it's worth $5.
|
Is there a Radio Birdman game?

we spent the better part of one afternoon in NoLa recovering from an early morning drunkathon (not me, cuz of alcoholo allergy but everyone else was ripped up) back at the hotel where they had upped us to the penthouse suite for free just chillin and smoking fat J's I rolled out of some supa skunk and we listened to the entire Radio Birdman comp blasting out of the suites recessed speakers....
