actually, i just downloaded it myself and it seems to be taken directly from the movie with all the dialogues included. it's this one http://www.amazon.com/Third-Man-Orig...dp/B00004LMQL/ which is different(?) than the one !@#$%! linked to above. :( |

aha haaaa I read "I've watched the big lebowski two" and I was like WTF??? LEBOWSKI 2?? then I read on and everything went back to normal. |
![]() It was ok. "Cute" would be the right word, even though I try to avoid that word when I can. But that's what this movie was: cute. |
a lot of people watched imp awards.com ah ah-

Aaaaah! damn she looks hot.

yeah, that's the one. probably one of the best bad horror flicks i've ever seen. it's pretty up there with 'hood of horror.' and if only there were a big lebowski 2....what would it be about, though? |
Quote:
nouuu nouu! I think someone had a discussion about a possible Lebowski 2 somewhere on this board, and it came to the agreeable conclusion that such a great movie deserve to be just like that, no sequels that could ruin its reputation/perfection. |

usually, yes. but the times have allowed for so many more possible absurdities to arise. just think if the rug peers had peed on the dude's iphone instead. and if walter practiced kaballah instead. and if donny was "the republican friend." and jesus quintana's assistant was played by hillary clinton (in an effort to appeal to even more hispanic americans). |

I was sold from the get go as I really enjoy Michel Gondry's filmic imagination. oh well. |
what else has michael ghondry done?
I don;t take any movies seriously. this one was just , what's the word? ineffectual. |
human nature
eternal sunshine of the spotless mind the science of sleep (+lots of music vids) (I mean, these are the "main" things gondry directed, not the last movies I've seen :D) |
Quote:
I enjoyed eternal sunshine very much. I have not seen any of the other ones. Thanks! will check them out. |
Thanks for the reply Nicfit... I didn't get back to this fast enough.
|
I think eternal sunshine is his best by far, till now...haven't seen "be kind rewind" yet (it's not even out over here), but I think that beside the "aestethic" impact The Science of Sleep was a bit too weak overall, as a movie. And maybe the cast didn't convince me 100%.
|
I really enjoyed The Science Of Sleep and got totally lost in it's Parisian nether/dreamworld... I'll have to see Eternal Sunshine again to decide which one I like the best.

Governor Spitzer's whore's "Girl Gone Wild" tape surfaces
I love how they call her an "escort" and not a prostitute on CNN. |
If you haven't yet, watch "I'm a Cyborg but That's ok", one of the "dreamier" and most beautifully shot movies I've ever seen.
![]() korean with italian subtitles ha ha. no idea about international distribution. |

I agree, ESS was better. SOS had cool effects and was visually entertaining, and the story did have something to it, it could have been great, but I think the lead charactors did a bad job at portraying anything close to real emotions. |
![]() Anybody else see this? What did you think? Was it a Pollock or no? To be quite honest, as much as I want to say it is, I feel like it's not. The worst thing her forensic friend could have done imo is place samples of this next to a similar painting by Pollock. He was trying to show how similar they were - and they were some what similar obviously, otherwise there would be no controversy at all. But there were consistant differences in each respective sample to actually be used to prove that it wasn't a Pollock. Not to say that that means it wasn't, but it was a mistake to use that in their defense. |

if any of you pricksters find themselves in the proximity of washington d.c., i'd strongly suggest you take a detour & go see the film exhibit at the hirshhorn museum. lots of great video installations. some brilliant shit. some meh stuff too but tastes vary. anyway if you love film it's worth your time. it will take a few hours to patiently sit through all.
