Smoothies are great, but the take effort and a blender. Overnight oats is really good too, there's a lot of cool recipes online for different flavors and stuff ! They also don't take as much effort to make too :D |

oatmeal i prefer in the evening due to the soothing nature of carbs and their sleepy effect. or at least from early afternoon onwards, for relaxation. oatmeal is good for serotonin production, helps ward off depression and anxiety and that sort of thing. but also it just helps to sleep i'm up very early in the morning (or sometimes stay up all night and keep it rolling, like the other day) and usually don't stop to eat a solid meal until i'm done with stuff, which is maybe noon, maybe mid-morning, depending. but protein and fat and salt and some nonstarchy veg are my thing at these early hours, or else i crash |

Self-made veggie Chili. Put in some coconut milk and curry for good measure. In fact it wound up somewhere between a Thai curry inspired dish and actual Chili. It's Schroedinger's Chili/Curry. It's both and neither at the same time.

Homemade veggie sandwich with vegan salami and vegan cheese (been trying to massively reduce my meat consumption as of late, will have the odd beef patty in a burger when out and about every once in a blue moon though), red peppers, basil, garlic and freshly sliced onions, as well as a helping of BBQ sauce and a bit of Sri-Racha.
As someone who grew up fond of meat-products and generally still likes them taste-wise, I gotta say the assortment vegan substitutes has really come a long way in the past few years (already tried to go a similar route around 2019, but then the pandemic came and I couldn't be arsed anymore). It's not quite the same, but hits just the right sensory notes and is a good approximation. And as someone who wants to subtly change things about his eating habits without going the dogmatic route, I welcome this with open arms. |
Made brown lentils with chopped up bacon, onions, courgette, chickpeas, garlic, red pesto, vegetable oil, carrots, salt and cajun spice. Served in tortilla wraps.

I had the weirdest dream the other night. Dreamed that I was baking a lobster (or perhaps a very large shrimp) in a frying pan. First on his back. But then when I turned it around on its belly, it walked away.
That's when I woke up, so lord knows how it would have ended. |
