Tokolosh, you're the film buff, I thnk you may appreciate the film 2:37.

He wrote it in a 36 hour stint or whatever, after a failed suicide attempt himself. It's made on a low budget and it's very reminiscent of Gus Van Sants Elephant. But for such a low budget, and an unknown cast, it reaches the heights of Elephant. It's really a powerful film. I mean, you might not like it, but I think it's a film worth checking out. |

I think it was "Igby Goes Down" some nights ago at like 4am.
or maybe "Kurt & Courtney" at 6am ( I stayed up till 6am to watch it because I had already watched it but it was a download and I'd rather watch it on the tv once.) I tried watching "Bully" for the third time in my life last night. But my sister is ALWAYS around when that movie is on. It really bothers me. I think I'll never see it. |

I watched The Good Shepard (2005) last night. Found it a little too long (167min), but it has a good cast with a nice slow pace to it.
Worth watching. ps: Didn't like Angelina Jolie at all. I don't know why, but she always irritates the shit out of me. |
Just watched The Quiet Earth, which I realized upon watching I'd seen before a long time ago. A good low budget NZ science fiction flick.

last movie i saw in a big screen was four sheets to the wind at sundance. great story. the cinematography a little lacking. but i predict we're going to hear a lot about this guy in the future cos he's very young but pretty good.
last dvd movie was the aviator, which i now regret not having seen in a bigscreen because i'm a pigheaded prejudiced fuck. it was a great fucking movie and i didn't want to believe it. well, fuck you too! :D |

 It's actually better than I thought it would be. Helen Mirren plays the queen superbly, but Michael Sheen's portrayal of Tony Blair, kept reminding me of Jon Culshaw in Dead Ringers. :D In my opinion, it's well worth watching. |
