seasons 1-3 were incredible. maybe even the best series EVER. after that....eh.
it's still really good, but not near as funny as the first 3 seasons. I <3 mary louise parker. <3 her long time. the one saving grace season 4 had was more mary louise parker skin shots. |

oh man, dont tell me that! im almost done w/season 3 and want to look forward to 4. the end of season 2 was wicked. i heard the new season (there on 5, right?) is still funny & even more twisted. |

yeah, 5 started a couple weeks ago. I haven't watched it since I don't have showtime, though. I used to have it (for free). it just "came on" one day. they changed stations around for digital cable a few years later, and after that, I lost it. :( and...I don't want to give the impression that S4 is bad. it's just not as tragically funny as the previous seasons. |

i am watching whitest kids u know season 1.

That's what I'd give it too.

I love Blow Out's ending.
Dressed To Kill is good too. The murder in the lift is one of the few things in a film that has genuinely shocked / scared me. |
I really love most of DePalma's movie. Dressed to Kill is so cheesy and melodramatic at times but the actual scenes of drama are unbelievably well-staged.
DePalma always makes Nancy Allen look sexxxxxxxxxxy. |
Oh, I sold my dvd copy of obsession a few months ago for $60 (had bought it for $5) :) DePalma rules!

I wonder how many times I'll say this in the same thread: The first 20 mins is awesome. The rest is stupid crap. |
Weekend Double Feature:
1. Wet Hot American Summer - 10/10 One of my absolute favorite comedies. I never ever tire of it. 2. Friday The 13th (2009) - 8/10 That's right. I said. Again. |

I see yr point, but, I liked it ok. Not a burner of a movie, but decent enough. |
I feel like the beginning was horror, and then it suddenly turned slapstick and I felt disoriented.
|
I see. The guy that told me about it presented it in a dark comedy/horror/slapstick way, so, perhaps I was expecting that. I would understand if it was pushed as non-stop/nothing-but-horror.
|
Yeah, when I first heard about it, it was just a blurb that was like "J-Horror update on classic Godzilla/monster films" so I was pumped for over-the-top gore and mass-destruction. No comedy was even hinted at.
