i used to live down the street from garden of the gods, i have some great pix of it somewhere

I lived in Guffey. Behind Co. Sprgs. about 65 miles. Nowhere near anywhere actually, South Park. Cripple Creek was 25 miles, Florrisant about 20 miles, Canon City 35 miles, Hartsell 25 miles. One of the most isolated communities in Colorado. I loved it. Here 'tis...

i'm actually familiar with guffey...just more like drive bys. my dad owns an acre of land outside of florisant-- been fishing/camping/hiking throught the area my whole life.

I miss it alot. I'm now right 'in' NYC, quite the contrast ! The South Platte, just southwest of Florissant is great too....sweet trout fishin'...11 mile canyon. 10 miles from Guffey. The beauty really does abound.

so anyway what i meant by "where "was what town/ park/ places. morgantown w va? anywhere near shenandoah national park? harper's ferry? were you further south? richmond? saw any civil war ghosts?

if you were in richmond i hope you didn't miss the poe house/museum. strange little place.

oh wow you were way out in the sticks. never been around that area, except driving on the interstate maybe. yeah looks peaceful.

so you didn't make it to dc? next time, maybe when we're back we can offer you guys a place to stay, ha ha. gack i miss that town.
