dortmund 2 leipzig 0 much better so far than west ham v wolves which turning out kinda boring even with crowd noises.

german fake crowd noise btw is fantastic! the dj in the aforementioned game did a great job tracking the action with all the right sound effects.

the english noise otoh is almost like listening to the waves break on the shore—soothing, and sleep-inducing.

West Ham game is a total bore-fest. Neither team creating anything.

Well it was a generally poor game that Everton could have won if it wasn't for that blasted post. Defensively they shut Liverpool down every time. There's a definite improvement in the squad since Ancelloti came in. Now to see how it goes once he starts getting players to his standard.

Really impressed with what little I've seen of Foden so far.He already looks like he could give Bernardo Silva a real run as replacement for David Silva, especially as Bernardo's been slightly below par this season. Although I think it's fair to say that of MC as a whole this year, with the exception of KDB.

As for Liverpool. Totally deserved champions, even considering MC's problems. Mane and VVD have been a class above imo. But it'd struggle to think of a weak-point anywhere.

Antonio's a really underrated player, not just outside WH but within it too, where he's generally seen as a reliable, hardworking but not really exciting player. So I'm glad of the 4 goals as much for him as what they mean in the relegation battle (that it looks like we've somehow managed to survive - again). Not that he represents any kind of solution but he is one of the very few things about WH that doesn't inspire outright despair.

I don't miss Arnie at all; not because I think Antonio or anyone else at the club is necessarily better than him, just that I never want to keep any player once they make it clear they want to leave.

Well that's that shit show of a season finally over. Everton have got A LOT of dead weight to get rid of over the next couple if months. However, the one player I didn't want rid of has retired. 13 years at Everton and now Baines has retired. If Ashley Cole hadn't been around he'd have been first choice for the England team everytime. As it is Cole was probably the best LB in the world at one point. Gutted.

Wish he'd gotten a trophy under his belt too.
