dortmund vs schalke about to start!
nobody on the stands so we’ll see what this looks like i mean it looks empty, but we’ll see what the game looks like without the roars |
Bit weird to watch this
|
yeha but at least something to watch
great haaland goal, hilariously distant celebration witht weird little dance haaahaahahaaaa |

Yeah, didn't get the point in that considering they'd been tackling and jumping on top of each other the while game. |

bayern v dortmund playing right now with a fake soundtrack at signal iduna and it's a good game!
|
Enjoying it so far. Hope Dortmund at least get the first goal. If Bayern do you just know Dortmund will collapse.
|
haha, let’s hope not
and i’d love to be the guy operating that soundboard, pushing the whistling sliders when bayern gets the ball btw im at work and can’t have a constant eye on it so the sound helps tons |
oh! a pity....
|
west ham v wolves this morning??
sorry demonyo i am your enemy today apologies in advance for the drubbing :D (lol i have no idea how either team is doing but wolfitos usually such a joy to watch) — leipzig v dortmund earlier for bundesliga fans |
dortmund 2 leipzig 0 much better so far than west ham v wolves which turning out kinda boring even with crowd noises.
german fake crowd noise btw is fantastic! the dj in the aforementioned game did a great job tracking the action with all the right sound effects. the english noise otoh is almost like listening to the waves break on the shore—soothing, and sleep-inducing. |
West Ham game is a total bore-fest. Neither team creating anything.
EDIT: Until Wolves do, and score. Inevitably EDIT: Aaaand, then they score a second. Because of course they do. |
yep, nuno heard me and brought on traore :D

Spotted this golden egg on the Peter Crouch show; 'Football is back, we now have something to talk about' - Jermaine Jenas - sport enlightened extraordinaire wisdom dropper.
This show incidentally needs banning by the way. I have never seen so many idiots talking gibberish, well not since soccer am. Athlete lives do not matter. |
wait wait, carletto is your new boss?
|

...you been living under a rock? Sure we've talked about it a few times on here. I certainly was at the very least. For what it's worth I still do a double take when I see him in the dugout. |

maybe i knew but it was long ago. what i remember vividly was much gnashing of teeth over marco silva — anyway this first half pretty even! but you guys need to hire some german djs: they have chants, boos, whistles, roars... english background noises are shit so i switched to the “natural” version. — looks like everton wanted to win more at the end. almost! liverpool’s lineup didn’t seem to gel. |
Well it was a generally poor game that Everton could have won if it wasn't for that blasted post. Defensively they shut Liverpool down every time. There's a definite improvement in the squad since Ancelloti came in. Now to see how it goes once he starts getting players to his standard.

some football news from the Lowlands if anyone cares:
- Robben is returning from his hiatus and will play next season for FC Groningen, the club where he started his professional career - Sneijder is currently contemplating whether he will return. He's been asked by the hardcore fans to come and play for FC Utrecht, the city where he is born and raised in, but never played for |
this sneijder?

also i wonder when he’ll start his chapter as a manager. — and i was going to be sorry i missed the liverpool man city game until i read reports of the 4-0 thrashing the new champions suffered. |
Quote:
Surely you should be MORE gutted that you missed Liverpool get a thrashing! Foden is certainly showing the class Guardiola kept saying he had but then never using him. Looking like Guardiola knew what he was doing holding Foden back a bit. Who'd have thought:rolleyes: |
Quote:
and i don’t know what happened with foden, but saka just scored a nice goal for arsenal right before halftime unfortunately he did it to wolves xD — well, shit. 2-0 at 85’. not my weekend, and im turning it off. :( |

Really impressed with what little I've seen of Foden so far.He already looks like he could give Bernardo Silva a real run as replacement for David Silva, especially as Bernardo's been slightly below par this season. Although I think it's fair to say that of MC as a whole this year, with the exception of KDB. As for Liverpool. Totally deserved champions, even considering MC's problems. Mane and VVD have been a class above imo. But it'd struggle to think of a weak-point anywhere. |
|
David Moyes makes Mourinho look like fucking Klopp with how negative he sets teams up. Playing rock bottom Norwich and having three DMs on the pitch.
|
And them being 3-0 up clearly means Moyes is a genius...
|
demonyo, with michail antonio up from there— do you miss angry artie? hahahaha
|
Antonio's a really underrated player, not just outside WH but within it too, where he's generally seen as a reliable, hardworking but not really exciting player. So I'm glad of the 4 goals as much for him as what they mean in the relegation battle (that it looks like we've somehow managed to survive - again). Not that he represents any kind of solution but he is one of the very few things about WH that doesn't inspire outright despair.
I don't miss Arnie at all; not because I think Antonio or anyone else at the club is necessarily better than him, just that I never want to keep any player once they make it clear they want to leave. |
Wigan are currently playing Hull in the championship. Wigan were up 7-0 AT HALFTIME! It's now 8-0. They gotta go for double figures now, surely?
|
so how long till we know the winner of that league? looks like bielsa on top right now...
|
Last day of normal season is 22nd July. top two teams getting promoted. Then teams from 3rd to 6th go into playoffs to decide the 3rd slot.
|
o man i so hope to see bielsa in the prem next year
|
well well well here comes bielsa
bielsa vs pep vs klopp is gonna be something... pity poch is not there... but maybe he’ll be? |

You include two managers who haven't actually done anything in football besides "other managers love his tactics!" and miss out two two-time champions League winners. For shame. |
Quote:
whooosh! that’s exactly my point: pressing vs pressing vs pressing vs pressing... ps carletto lazy bastard :p |
Well that's that shit show of a season finally over. Everton have got A LOT of dead weight to get rid of over the next couple if months. However, the one player I didn't want rid of has retired. 13 years at Everton and now Baines has retired. If Ashley Cole hadn't been around he'd have been first choice for the England team everytime. As it is Cole was probably the best LB in the world at one point. Gutted.
Wish he'd gotten a trophy under his belt too. |
did anybody here see messi’s falling goal? the wak he hooked that ball... wow
missed a great bayern game due to lack of availability but should be able to catch next week’s.... |
