i would like the chocolates more if i was hungry, but i would prefer flowers just because it's more cute and thoughtful. you can buy someone chocolates while waiting in line and out of nowhere, "hey he may like these!", but most of the time when you buy flowers you think about it beforehand. cards are nice too.
