There are some gay men who know how to use make-up sparingly, and look stunning as a result. gmku - I agree though that there's more of a frisson when a straight man applies the old make up (K Richards is a v good example, see also Brian Eno, Steven Severin, Peter Murphy (Bauhaus) or even Brian Molko (Placebo).
