i remember when i used to sneak inside and walk around and in that pool when it was dangerous and totally abandoned in the 90's.
i imagined it would be cool if they held shows there, never would've thought it'd actually happen though. and now sonic youth's gonna play DN there.
crazy. can't wait for this show.

I don't think tickets will sell out instantly either, the pool can hold like 4,000 people for shows I think.

Im going to be in NYC the week before that, and I already bought my plane tickets too... but I bought cancelation insurance also, so we'll see if I can convince everyone to cancel for SY.

OK i was wrong initially, tickets go on sale at noon less then an hour from now

this will be probably the last year of shows there, pool is being renovated and will go back to being a POOL, it was in the news last week. too bad i think, who the hell goes to a public pool?

as far as this youre right it probably will not sell out right away but Im not taking any chances.

also - if they add a show, it will probably be on the friday the 27, i think sundays they have already set aside for those free shows. i might be wrong though.

if they add a second show, i'm totally going to that too. haha

Does anybody know what's going on? I went to livenation at noon EST and their message changed from "on sale 5/4 12pm EST" to "more info coming soon". The same thing happened for the Cat Power/BTS show at McCarren.
