Mancini? |
Mancini dealt with a lot of shit but I don't recall him ever wanting a player substituted and that player carrying on playing regardless. I actually wonder if the referee should've stepped in. Surely once the board goes up it's a game-rules decision and he should've stopped play until Kepa went off or two yellows him for excessive time wasting. You get a yellow for clapping a refs decision and this is far worse than that.
|
It happened the other way around didn't it? He wanted to bring Tevez on and he refused. Not AS bad as refusing to come off, but bad enough.
They're now saying it was all a misunderstanding now. Like anyone believes that. |
i wonder what makes a person act like that
does abramovich keep his family captured, with guns to their heads? i’ve been watching too much breaking bad hahaha but seriously... “it’s him or me” “he stays, you stay. go tell them it was a misunderstanding.” “ok...” wat |

I'd actually forgotten about Tevez and was just thinking about Balotelli. Yeah Tevez was a disgrace. Although I always thought there was something a bit unhinged about Mancini, too. And there just seems to be a culture of it at Chelsea. Assuming Sarri leaves in the summer, I can see a lot of potential replacements looking at that club and wondering if it's really worth it. |
If Kepa starts their next game I only hope his own fans make his life an absolute misery ...
until he makes a vital save, when all will inevitably be forgiven. Same happened with Arnie at West Ham. Got shit after the transfer request shenanigans, scored a goal, instant hero again. Drives me potty. |
Aye, I was thinking about it and wondering why anyone would want to manage Chelsea. Same with Real Madrid tbh. Guardiola said the other day they asked him to join years ago but refused due to their lack of long termism which sums it up. No idea who they'll get next after this debacle. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they went all out to get Simeone even if he has just signed a new contract.

It's happened m it's actually happened. Everyone have actually won a game. Praise the football gods!

Such a rarity you couldn't even bring yourself to spell their name properly. |

Damn spell check:D And the manager culling goes on. Ranieri has been sacked from Fulham now. That team is such a mess. I never understood why you'd get promoted and then decide to totally overhaul the squad with players who don't even know each other etc. A couple of players to add to the team, sure, but you're basically saying to the players who got promoted "yeah, thanks now fuck off". Let em go down. |
Yeah, I can never understand that either. And never mind Ranieri, you'd have thought Jokanovic getting them promoted would've earned him the whole season in the Prem. But they're going down now anyway, I reckon. Them and Huddersfield.
|
holy shit. everton v liverpool this sunday? hahahahahaaaa!
i look forward to h8kurdt’s commentary |

Not even watching it. Mainly cos I can't bring myself to go through the stress and bollocks the goes with it. |

This is why you've gotta admire Burnley for going against the grain and sticking with Dyche. They've been promoted, gone down, back up, stayed up and then got into Europe. |

which is kinda the point of this game... Quote:
tangential to this, i wish i could see leeds v west brom today somewhere |
Quote:
It begins. Your eye is turning to the lower leagues. Soon you'll be supporting Luton Town and wanting to find steams for League one games. As for the first point. Absolutely. The last game I said I wouldn't watch it and look what that led to. A massive long rant from me after it. |
Quote:
If you can see it, the Championship is a great league. Extremely competitive and good quality. Not up to the top 5 or 6 Prem teams but I'd say all those below them would have a tough time down there. Lacks the glamour of the Prem, obviously, but that isn't always such a bad thing. |
Quote:
so how are you feeling about your match tomorrow? do you fear rafa? |
I'd say it's 50/50 but it all depends what West Ham turn up.
|
and how are they with injuries, dramas, etc? any good prospects? troubles? pellegrini ok, nobody refusing his orders or shit like that?
looks like thats a standalone in the schedule i might be able to catch |
oh espn+ is another $5/mo (no thanks, have enuff subscriptions) but might wing a 7-day free trial lololol. leeds v west brom in 3.5h...

No dramas I'm aware of. Just the usual unpredictability. |

Bought a pair of trainers off Ashley yesterday. Felt bad but 20 quid less than JDs is 20 quid less than JDs.
|
Our beloved owner put the actual official Newcastle United shop out of business a long time ago with such lucrative offers. I'm surprised JD has lasted this long in all honesty.

Did you get to watch it? |

plus i thought maybe i should save the free trial for a weekend—do they play during intl. breaks? anyway—was it good?? — HOLY SHIT 4-0! i need to stop working fridays by lunchtime... /me bangs head on desk |
So big bad Brendan's at Leicester. Happened a couple of days ago so hardly breaking news but he's already coming out with his trademark bullshit: "I’ll give my life to make the supporters proud of their club,” No Brendan, you won't. "I am returning to one of the biggest and best clubs in world football " No Brendan, you're not.
Post match interviews should be a laugh. ![]() |
here we go
|
Nice win for WH today. Didn't watch it but heard it was pretty easy. Newcastle not really offering much. Main thing though, besides the 3 points, was the return of Lanzini, who was meant to be excellent today. Cardiff next week, then Huddersfield. So hopefully some points there, too.
|
i had it on and i wasn't wowed or anything so i did some paperwork on the side.
that kid whatsisname was great.llll.. gggg... what's his name? he's like 12 or something? |
Only one I can think you might mean is Declan Rice. Great player. 20 years old.
|
Quote:
enjoy him while you have him— should not be long :( but you might sell him right anyway firmino starts benched? |
I'm more worried about losing Rice than anyone, tbh. He's the future. Unfortunately Man City agree and he's meant to be one of the top names on Pep's summer shopping list. :(

it’s not a terrible thing to be a farm. more or less what dortmund does and they’re a fun team. make sure you get enough petrodollars from the sheik |
very exciting game so far, wow
roaring crowd — holy shit i thought it would slow down by 20’ or 25’ but it didn’t great first half |
at 80’ i can see liverpool being denied. even defeated by surprise.
|
wow. does it feel like a win?
bet it does... |
Didn't watch it but reading the report sounds like it was a pretty even match.
Loving the fact that Klopp is now blaming the wind for not winning. |
Quote:
BUT—they just could not score, and the longer it went the more desperate they got everton was NOT parking the bus. it was back and forth, but liverpool got closer to the goal and with more danger, much more consistently. pickford had a great save and there were some close calls. but they still could not score, and an everton free kick from the edge of the area late in the game could have punched liverpool in the gut. but it was a poor lob, too long. wind? lmao maybe he ate beans. |
