When I went to Munich my grandparents bought some Bayern merchandise for a son of one of their coworkers (some 18th birthday present or something IIRC, there was an arrangement). Of course, us Australians don't really get the rivalries of Euroball |

Okay, that probably makes things clearer. |
im fond of watching ribéry and robben still play in their old age
neuer remains a star keeper boateng’s defense and boateng’s fouls are legend kimmich is a rising star. sure he was a bit confused at the world cup but no matter. mueller’s giant frog mouth is a source of comedy in my house a lot of fun memories these past few years, like beating roma 7-1 was it? insane game. i dont get “club identity” so much, as coaches and players migrate it’s good to be a spectator not a fan fuck if im gonna pin my fortunes to nebulous entities |
tee hee
https://youtu.be/dSJfvXSirMg these highlights do not show the insanity that was that game, esp the first half k gonna read that |
i read. funny stuff in there.
brought back memories... lahm, lahm was so good! damn. pity he’s retired. what a joy it was to see him play |
So who think Mourinho will do what Mourinho does best and scab either a draw or a win against Liverpool this weekend?
|

14 pts down from the top spot he might need a new tshirt... ![]() i don't hate him though. don't have enough prem experience for that. but demonyo...! |
Everton Man C in 20 mins - and if there is a good time to be playing MC, with no Aguero or Sterling or David Silva, this might be it.
Big one is tomorrow, MU v Liverpool. |
Aye, just listening to it at work. Never been so conflicted by a game. If Everton win then that puts the ball in Liverpool's court to pull further ahead in the table.
|
maybe. not highly likely.
|
oh that was nice at last

here goes jamón jamón...
— oh no, that comes after gonna skip this spurs |
nice job west ham so far on those counters
and glad to see wolves won-- though only caught the briefest of highlights what's wrong with jota? |
ok, confession: been spacing out the 2nd half
|
lol ok
|
West Ham are doing OK. Currently in 9th, equal on points with Watford and Everton. More importantly, we're actually playing some decent football. Anderson looks the real deal and Snodgrass reminds us what we saw in him to begin with (and had quickly forgotten). No complaints from me. And rumours that MU are preparing a big bid for Arnie doesn't bother me quite as much now as it did a few weeks ago.If anything we've looked better without him this past couple of games.

confession, i had the game on a screen but did not keep a close eye on it. so i did not hear much from chícharo who may or may not have done something but now im curious to see what you saw from him—not a personal interest just a point of curiosity since i had written him off but now he’s a starter. |
oh shit, little pulisic is moving to chelsea!
(or so the gossip sez) and poor dortmund was doing so well well he's under sancho's shadow at the moment |
wait, southampton is beating arsenal? lol
|
that started lively
|
shaqiri HELL YES
and pep let him leave bayern lol |
Quote:
they absorbed pressure for the first 20, after getting scored against they evened the score, and with fellaini they were tamping down things okay till shaqiri came in. to squeeze out a tie away with the league’s leader would not have been too shabby but if you wanna beat liverpool at home you have to play better obviously they’re on top of the table after all, on their own merit |
Schalke v Man City
Atletico Madrid v Juventus Man Utd v PSG Tottenham v Borussia Dortmund Lyon v Barcelona Roma v Porto Ajax v Real Madrid Liverpool v Bayern Munich Some potentially great games there |
Liverpool Bayern looks too good to miss
|
Quote:
sure they will put up a fight but niko kovac has not been working out as expected he did great things for frankfurt, but right now bayern has 14 pts to dortmund’s 26 |
dortmund spurs should be a great contest!
curious about man u/ psg could ajax knock out real? atleti juve is gonna be EPIC and... poor schalke lololol |
Quote:
i get what youre saying, i’ve already heard it, it’s what all the talking heads have been repeating. we’re in an echo chamber and everyone repeats the same phrases. but really, man u are 6th in the top league in the world. sure 6th is bad for the name known as manchester united lol. not being from manchester i dont care for their position on the table. objectively, liverpool was a better team, and objectively, they will cut most teams to pieces on a regular day, which is why they are first place and such a joy to watch play. sure, man u could do better considering their hefty price tag. |
Mourinho is sacked! He's making way for the return of Van Gaal :D
|
Actually no idea who they'll get to replace him. I know they've said it's gonna be a caretaker manager til the end of the season and then the proper manager after that. However, I just don't buy they're gonna entrust Carrick with the caretaker. With the way things are in terms of sponsors and so on the board will be desperate to make sure they get AT LEAST top 6.
As bonkers as it sounds, I can honestly see Del Bosque till the summer. |
Paul Pogba hospitalised with a broken jaw after laughing for 12 hours straight

ha ha ha haaaa
well this should improve the motivation of some players they still won’t win the prem though |
Quote:
Carrick has it till they apparently bring in a caretaker manager for the rest of the season. God knows who that'll be. Del Bosque? Well he's out of work but I can't see it. Personally I'd just give it to Carrick till the summer. Then there'll be the debates who the proper replacement will be. Zidane? Poch? Simeone? |
oh and the Guardian's annual 100 players of the year starts today: 100-71
https://www.theguardian.com/football...018-nos-100-71 No mention yet of Mark Noble so I assume he'll be much higher ranked ;) |
zidane... there’s someone nobody’d better fuck with and is currently on sabbatical...
|
Pochettino's the top choice for me but would he consider MU a step up from Spurs right now?
|
maybe next year but midseason would be disgraceful at least in my eyes
|
Quote:
Well supposedly Carrick has been ruled out but that it is someone who "understands" Manchester United's way. Talk is Laurent Blanc which would make a lot of sense. As for who will be the full time manager. God knows is my best opinion. |

Don't think there's a single person suggesting they will. |
