How Kevin Nolan hasnt I had an england cap I'll never know. Everyone talked about Downing yesterday, but Nolan was great. |
Did you mean Mark Noble? Totally agree. Definitely deserves a cap He's not the best player but he'll always do a good job. And he'd be an asset in penalty shootouts. Downing's been looking good but he seems to drift in and out of form.

Same difference :D |
Man U-Leicester is an incredible game so far.

This. Leicester totally deserve this. United have crumbled harder than a fox's biscuit. wait...that wasnt a pun on Leicester. |
Van Gaal is gonna get caned for this. Spending big money on Falcao and Di Maria without dealing with their central defence.
Great game. Brilliant result. |
bayer just lost 4-1 to wolfsburg! massacre.
so, basically, everyone who played at teh champions this week had a shitty weekend. except for juventus that i heard beat milan 1-0 |

Fucks sake. Everton beat Wolfsburg 4-1 this week, only to lose to Crystal fucking Palace 3-2. Fucking hate football. |

but you love teh fact that lampard just scored against chelsea, don't you? and mourinho's face when that happened? yes, you had to love that. didn't everyone? |
h8kurdt^Wtf has happened to your defence?

Quite nice seeing the Chelsea fans chanting his name. He looked to be in tears at the end. |

Fuck knows. As I said earlier, it's the same mistake United have done. Spending big bucks (by Everton's standards) upfront and doing nothing with defence. 13 goals in 5 games is just depressing. I'll be watching the highlights for the Chelsea game later so I look forward to that. Did he celebrate or was it a calm thing? |
He seemed embarrassed when he scored and was a bit emotional when he clapped the Chelsea away fans at the end of the game as they chanted his name. Very respectful all round.
Having to wonder if the defensive issues Martinez had at Wigan aren't becoming an issue at Everton. |

And I hinestly dont understand why. Especially after last season. Meh well. I'm gonna go listen to Nebraska then watch M. RAY. OF. SUNSHINE. |
On the upside at least all the other results this weekend went the right way.

that didn't keep him from trying to score again though from a midfield shot. SPEAKING OF MIDFIELD SHOTS (and beyond) behold this shot by moritz stoppelkamp who plays for the current leader of the bundesliga table, paderborn, which was just promoted and will face bayern mid-week: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x26...-09-2014_sport bhaaa haaa haaa haaa no, it's not faked |
Lampard did the right thing. I don't usually like it when players won't celebrate against former clubs but it seemed genuine here. He had a professional duty to Man City but clearly loves Chelsea.

To demonrail and h8kurdt,thanks for the insight. So its like figured, more about history and fan opinion rather a serious loss? See again that is why me and rob like divisional rivalries better.. and they can be JUST AS HISTORIC as any futbol rivalry. In MLB the Dodgers and Giants have been feuding since 1883! In NFL the bears and packers since 1940.. the major difference between the Dodgers giants rivalry and say the Superclassico is that these two teams play in the same division, they are literally guaranteed to play over A DOZEN games EACH YEAR against each other and you can put em on the calendar well in advance. For ecample right now dodgers have a 3 game lead on giants BUT they have 3 games remaining this season, and whoever gets 2 of 3 will take the division and so clinch a playoff berth. With NFL, last season all the Bears needed to do was win ONE GAME against the Packers and Chicago would have taken the division and packers would have missed the playoffs entirely. Instead Packers won that game and Bears missed the playoffs. ALL that decided by a single regular season game!! I suppose the equivalent in futbol are the Group Stages of Tournament play, where a win also hurts the other teams chance of advancing out.... the fundamental difference is again in divisional games each group is the same every season, it makes the rivalry and history so much more predictably intense AND makes otherwise less significant regular season games become crucial ELIMINATION GAMES

oh yeah lampard was supremely professional.
but did you see that stoppelkamp goal? it must have made the news there. no? i saw it on btsport. |
I've not seen anything about that goal. Sports coverage here is pretty local and would probably rather just replay this all day long
