is that some kind of horrible skin disease i've never heard about? o wait-- deka-log-- log joke! but why would people scream? is it horribly ulcerated? leprosy? zombie? mummified? no need to post pictures-- just scientific data. |
OK, My fiancee rented avatar from the redbox, but then she found out that it was a james Cameron film and now she does not want to watch it.
what to do? should I watch it alone? should I just avoid it? any help? |
return it.
go watch something else. you know its crap already. |
will do Master Ni'k
|
Adam, have you seen Teenage Caveman? I just d/l'd it and through a brief skim was surprised that it too had half-naked teenagers.
Ken Park was enjoyable. |

burn it-- and i don't mean make a copy of it. i mean set it on flames. |
![]() I forgot just how absolutely fucking brilliant this film is. a true gem, I mean a comedy about existentialism and nihilism? pure genius!! "I thought we were going to talk about petroleum." |
![]() As bad as people would have you believe... this movie made absolutely no sense. Hardly even enjoyably bad. |

Yeeeeeeah. Fucking love that movie. |

I just find him empty and boring, formulaic and ridiculous. Lock Stock is okay, Snatch is... very very okay. Swept Away is AWFUL. Revolver is AWFUL. RockNRolla is AWFUL. I'm sure Sherlocke Holmes is. I'm not sure what he does well. Layer Cake does the exact same thing Ritchie has done, but about a billion times better... Glad you like him though! I haven't seen DEKALOG, !@#$%!, that'll be my next download, it's like 7gb. |
![]() in bruges - 5/10 Why do people like this movie?! Almost turned it off many times but kept at it. Hated myself for wasting my time by the end. Most overrated film ever. |
![]() terrible, terribly absurd movie, with a horrible screenplay and bad acting. but if you like bai-ling's nipples, check it out. not worth putting on your netfucks queue, watch it online, it's available on HD stream. HD nipples! |

I thought it was very funny!!!! |
Hate Collin Ferrel. HATE.
|
agree. Brendan Gleeson is fucking great though.
|
I'm Belgian and I haven't seen this movie yet haha.
I'm curious to see how it is. |
![]() the demon - I dunno, I've watched it 50 times and still love it, so who knows.. |
![]() ![]() I loved 'em both. |
The Human Centipede
I didn't like it. One of the only horror films I've ever seen where I feel the director may too be a little disturbed. Maybe I'm a pussy. It was good in a train wreck sort of way, couldn't look away no matter how much I wanted to. |

you're right, guy ritchie is awful. can't rep you but you deserve it. rocknrolla was sooooo shit, god damn |
maybe im some sort of pyschic genius but when i see that poster, for a film called rock n rolla, i don't need to exert any mental deliberation on it shitness, its like innate and unthinkingly already known to me, like i am some sort of buddha.
also, vinnie jones from lock stock was on big brother in the uk last year. and he is just as much of a fucking wanker as you would think. |

ReallY? I'm guessing you just haven't seen enough fucked up shit. Trust me. There's a lot of films I stay far away from cuz I think they're too disturbing. Human Centipede was (dare I say it) fun. |
BTW... movies are dead.

![]() I'm not really sure what to make of this one, but I don't think I liked it . That fact surprisingly has nothing to do with Paul Walker starring in this. The film was extremely vulgar, and very violent, and even had a genuinely creepy scene (if you've seen it, you'll know what I'm talking about). It was about as action-packed as a movie can get, but many of the attempts at making this film stylish, ultimately fell flat. Oh well... 5/10 |
![]() def. the worst woody allen i've seen but it was watchable, but scarlett johanson must be the most boring actress in the world |
![]() HALFWAY I can never get enough of Japanese film. A cute story about dating and going away to University, lovable cast that makes you laugh all the way thru. |
![]() jawesome |
![]() 10/10 I was expecting a masterpiece going into it, and definitely got what I asked for. This film completely lives up to it's hype. Thankfully I purchased the version with the proper subtitles. |

In my all time top 10. Fuck! |
Gonna get Halfway, thanks.

Do you care to elaborate? I borrowed this off a friend like last year after his rave review, and I thought it was just fairly average. I'm not knocking that you dug it, I'm certainly in the minority in my dislike for it. I'm just curious what you really liked about it. |

You most likely watched a copy with the non-theatrical subtitles. Or perhaps you had a proper DVD, but were watching the English dub, or perhaps the 1st set of subtitles (you must select English 2 to view the film as it was meant to be). The variance between the two subtitle tracks alters the viewing experience greatly. Check out this link - http://iconsoffright.com/news/2009/0...les_in_to.html I felt that the shots were very well composed, and effective at conveying the chilling European atmosphere. The plot seems strong enough to stand on it's own reasonably well, even without it's fantastical elements. The cutesy child vampire tale with ghastly special effects was just icing on the cake, that I gleefully devoured. |
I liked Thirst better, as far as two stylish vampire flicks that came out at the same time. Not too big into vampire films though.
