From the ones i've seen this is my least favourite Lynch. I just didn't like the atmosphere at all, except maybe for the middle part, at the theatre.
While I can get a lot more out of the story here than let's say in lost highway, I just don't like it as much. It doesn't have the typical lynch atmosphere I love

At the Tampere Film Festival with live soundtrack by Kemialliset ystävät and Risto Ylihärsilä.

That was one of my favorites as a youngin' too. You should be proud that he doesn't prefer the shitty Burton remake.

That poster is "Thirst" right? That film was amazing, I was shocked that somebody actually did something interesting with the mega-played vamp genre.

If you haven't seen it, check Park Chan-wook's "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance", it's Song Kang-ho's best performance.

Yeah, it's Thirst. It's actualy the first of his films that I've seen. I loved it.

I just had to check him out after Derek, and ASP raved about him so much. I never did get to seeing Oldboy in it's entirety. I'll definitely check out Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance next.

I prefer the Burton remake.

Thirst isn't really one of my favourites... it's a good movie but.

Definitely check out Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, that movie is a masterpiece and sort of different from the others. Oldboy and Lady Vegeance are very stylised with usually something always happening... Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is a lot slower-paced, minimal and beautifully shot. It is hard to watch his movies now though considering the girlfriend I posted that thread about is obsessed over his movies.

Are Lady Vengeance and Mr. Vengeance related at all? Should I be weary of watching one before the other?

Lady Vegeance, Mr. Vengeance and Oldboy were all part of a "Vengeance Trilogy" but you can watch them separately, they aren't really connected plot-wise.
