Yeah, it feels dead. Liverpool must now just want to get through this without picking up any injuries. |
still mad to me that Salah started at the weekend, I'm listening not watching, has he had a quiet night thus far?
|
I'd strongly favour Madrid in the final, all the experience, I reckon they'd knock at least 3 past this Liverpool defence.
|
btw I take my hat off to Five Live's commentary team, they're making this sound incredibly tense and on a knife-edge.
|
not sure it's "tense" but there have been moments. dzeko looks the hardest working man on the pitch right now trying to score regardless.
|
Quote:
oh yeah, it's clearly not tense in terms of the game but they were doing a good job of making it seem so. I feel like having basically wished fiery death upon Robbie Savage last week I should give some credit where it's due! |
well i hope you heard this goal! suddenly everyone woke up
-- and ends in a 4-2, hats off to roma, who kept trying |
7-6 on aggregate. Bloody insane!
|
liverpool were sorta sleepwalking at the end
|
Madrid will be very confident Im sure, as if they could be any more confident
|
Milner- "I'm gonna celebrate by drinking some ribena" haha gotta love a man who can laugh at himself
|
Milner has embraced the Boring Milner character, its only a matter of time before there's a backlash. I think he's getting a bit too self-referential if you ask me
|
We were saying last night that Liverpool fans will have watched Real and thought "we can dick em". Flip-side is that Real fans will be thinking the exact same tonight.
Bring on the final! |

Bloody miserable ass :D |

YOUR FUN IS RUINED!!!! |
I put s film on at half-time (Carry on Constable), thinking the outcome was a foregone conclusion at that point. Checking the final score afterwards I realised what I'd missed.
|
So the other Madrid side are through to the final after beating Arsenal. Don't think anyone is remotely surprised by that.
When was the last time a city of two teams was so dominant? Everton/Liverpool had a big spell but that was the 80s. |
last bundesliga matchday tomorrow
im gonna miss this for the next month... |
I'll be in Spain during the CL and WC, which is gonna be interesting.
|

Nice. Where abouts you going? |
My family are in Murcia and Seville so I'll be going back and forth between them.

— and i don’t know which game to watch this morning. they’re all happening at once and there are various contests. first world problems! ... looks like weidenfeller is retiring. they’re giving him flowers and a “danke” poster. |
WAIT WAIT WAIT I’M SO FUCKING ADDLED
there’s another matchday on the 12! what’s today’s date? lolololol. i’m worried about my mental health now |
I'm gonna be watching West Ham's must win against Leicester and desperately hoping Big Sam does us a Big Favour against Southampton.
|
looks like i picked the right game:
mainz 1 dortmund 0 mainz 2 dortmund 0 mainz 2 dortmund 1.... and that’s only the first quarter hour! |
Quote:
Nice. Can't believe it was a year ago this week that I was in Seville. So it's basically relegation battles across the leagues this week, right? |

|
catching up on some first-half footages, and cologne, who is already relegated i believe (yes they are), is making bayern suffer and beating them 1-0 ha ha ha.
|
so i switched to stuttgart hoffenheim at halftime. stuttgart was ahead 1-0 and badstuber was subbed out (not sure why, injury most likely: ETA yes, muscle problem).
it’s a bit stuck for a while, then a stuttgart player gets thrown out on a 2nd yellow card, and then, with 10 men, gomez scores an awesome goal! but now hoffenheim is pushing and there was a hard ball on a goalpost and yellow cards are flying in every direction... oh it’s 2-1 now... nope, flag up. ha ha ha ha stuttgart trying to hang on, here |
so bayern won (poor cologne), schalke won and a secure 2nd place, dortmund lost and still 3rd place but now no chance for higher, hoffenheim lost and still 4th but leverkusen tied in points, just a slim goal difference. leipzig won and now at 6th place, it could conceivably reach 4th in the last date and qualify for champions automatically.
wolfsburg beaten, still in relegation zone and hennes the goat is a sad goat ![]() best bundesliga mascot ever going to bundesliga 2 now — looks like jamón west won this one? yes? congrats |
It's getting be like death and paying taxes, Spurs will ALWAYS choke in the last few games of the season.
It'd actually be incredible if West Brom manage to stay up now. Now for Everton to try and batter Southampton to help them. |

Never in any doubt, though:rolleyes: |

Any bar recommendations? I know Merchants and Mundial will show all the big games but up for more options. |

Fuck me, now you're asking. The best ones were the tiny dingy bars. The tapas in those places with the wine was just incredible. I'll message the friend who I went to see there for recommendations. |

I'd love that (although obviously not at West Ham's expense), but more cos I really want Darren Moore to do well than any liking of West Brom. Unbelievable what he's doing there and he doesn't deserve to be the manager who took them down. Seems like a really cool guy, too. Quote:
Yeah, a football rule, like never writing off Germany, Lukaku scoring against West Ham and Wenger's coat. -- FFS, Southampton 1 up at Everton. Come on Sam, help us out here, you fat cunt. -- OK, 1-1. I need a calculator for this. |
last bundesliga date and hoffenheim, leverkusen and redbull vying for 4th place and the last CL spot. conceivably, dortmund who is 3rd could be knocked out by a large goal difference.
watching hoffenheim dortmund—2 attacking sides goinng at each other. |
dortmund, hoffenheim and leverkusen all tied at 55pts at this moment (63 or so min)
http://www.livescore.com/soccer/germany/bundesliga/ and only 1 goal difference between them — holy shit hoffenheim leaps to 3rd and dortmund now in leverkusen’s sights bye bye stöger — and weidenfeller comes in for the last 30 seconds — it’s over, leverkusen’s fails to close the goal difference, dortmund hangs on to the last champions spot. great year for hoffenheim even after getting pilfered by bayern (as it’s custom). who will dortmund hire as coach for next year? that’s the big question for me. and oh, bayern of course, ha ha ha. heynckes retired again, he’s 73 now. — oh and SUTTGART beat bayern 4-1 ha ha ha ha |
bundesliga highlights show. w00t!
— sad to have missed the hamburg-gladbach game cuz that was fucking eventful with hamburg fighting relegation (they failed & are doomed) |
Think I speak for both Demo and I when I say thank fuck that season's over with.
