oh shit you guys are in a tight 15th place huh?
death to the soviet general! eta: and vs man city next. ouch! but maybe they won’t care? |

Haha nah, Pep has come out and said his next thing is breaking records this season. Highest points tally, most goals scored that kind of thing. The stuff that playing against West Ham will make easy to do :D In other news, Sam Allardyce compared himself to Diego Simeone. Why? Cos he's a fucking egotistical moron. |

they’ll be a sacrificial lamb for the football art gods? quite an honor i guess :D :( |

Do you think he'll be at Everton next season? - Sam, not Diego - obviously |
Quote:
God knows. I'm praying to the football gods that he isn't that's for sure. Moshiri can't brag bout how much ambition he has for Everton and then keep Sam and think the fans will be fine with it. |
mainz just cleared out of relegation zone by beating the much-hyped rb leipzig 3-0
blam! now wolfsburg is 3rd from bottom— pitiful considering the glory days of debruyne & co. leipzing meanwhile looks out of any european competition [...] wait, no. they’re firmly in the europa league mess. |
Quote:
That's pretty depressing |

... and just now dortmund failed to beat werder bremen and catch up with schalke on the table. 1-1, 3rd place going into the final weekend. |
Brentford's slim playoff hopes over yesterday after losing at Barnsley, but after a rocky start it's turned into a successful season. I believe next season will be the last full season at the current ground, and as Arsenal have shown, moving into a "modern" stadium from one of the rickety old-style ones is fraught with problems, I hope the stability continues as it's been great going back to games over the last 5 years or so and it's a genuinely nice place to go.
|
Feel like football fatigue has kicked in for me big time. Save for the champions league I dont think I've watched a full game for a few weeks. Hell, I haven't watched a full MOTD for just as long.
A break before the world cup kicks off will do me the world of good. |

It's the 'curse' of being mid table. Oh what I wouldn't give for that curse right now. |

Ah, you'll be fine I'm sure of it. Get 3 points against "We're on our jollies" Leicester and you'll be clear. |
So, I assume we're all watching Bayern v Real tonight.
|
fuuuuuuc thanks for the reminder that i have to suffer today
i had spaced it out likely as a self-defense mechanism guess i can always pretend. “too much work!” or some such |

poor bayern so many injuries
are those lineups confirmed? |
Yeah just got them off the BBC website
Real Madrid: Navas, Lucas Vazquez, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Modric, Kovacic, Kroos, Asensio, Benzema, Ronaldo. Subs: Casilla, Nacho, Bale, Casemiro, Theo Hernandez, Mayoral, Ceballos. Bayern Munich: Ulreich, Kimmich, Hummels, Sule, Alaba, Tolisso, Thiago, Muller, James Rodriguez, Ribery, Lewandowski. Subs: Starke, Wagner, Javi Martinez, Rafinha, Mai, Rudy, Dorsch. |
good to see javi martinez apparently recovered from his concussion
waiting for matador cronaldo to kill this old bull is *no fun* but eh. im still curious cuz... you never know ha hha ha ha — the bernabeu looks threatening AF |
I wouldn't be surprised if Bayern end up winning the tie but the away goals will kill them and I can't see Real not scoring.
|
Woah, game on!
|
ha ha ha ha that looked easy...
-- oh no. that looked easy too... -- bayern missing a lot of chances as far as i can see. all those crosses and balls in front of the goal and nothing. -- so far very nice game but damn bayern score again -- an exercise in frustration lololol -- and the ref's red whistle keeps freaking me out |
It is a good game. Bayern just need to be more lethal up front cos this Real are there for the taking.
|
Eeew, Banzema's 2nd was the gift of all gifts.
|

really-- not trying to hedge or anything game is wide open but bayern lacking finish oh wait. fucking benzene. well. FML if only neuer if only etc spanish witchcraft |
maybe it's time to bring in sandro "big man at the front" wagner
-- see, to me, the "for the taking" is now clearly ulreich. looking a bit lost at the moment or no? |
this game is fucking amazing!
|
Yes. Yes It Is.
|
bale coming in hmffffff....
-- oh. for benzine! maybe a good thing for me. fuckin manbun lol -- and here comes in wagner ride valkyries ride |
fucken. gaaaah. all twisted up inside.
come on javi you are the lungs -- somebody give asensio a fucking bed. he clearly wants to sleep. time thief !^@%% |
oh damn. that was. uff. ayayay.
well real deserve it overall and that tolisso-ulreich business was dismal. okay. NOW IT'S KLOPPO'S TURN TO WIN IT ALL |
That was a great game. So hard on Bayern. How the fuck are Real in this final?
|

... not to forget Bayern's own inability to convert the numerous chances Real handed them. Has Lewandowki sort of given up or something? What a decline he's in.
|
i dont know if it’s a decline to face sergio fucking ramos
i hate the guy but even chiellini said last month he’s the best centerback in the world. lewandowski was often overpowered which is why i was asking for wagner to come help. and yeah mueller not in his best spot, no true winger outside of kimmich, but yeah ok lewandowski not in top form regardless. i wouldn’t call it a decline so much as a bad couple of weeks maybe. i think bayern was punching above their weight yesterday—not in terms of the club but in terms of their available personnel. i was gonna say yesterday tolisso was doing greater than i expected and then he does that shit with ulreich. take away everything but that fuckup and they would have at least gone on to overtime. and then james feeling sorry for real and throwing the ball away was not a good thing. heynckes was quoted saying that “desire can move mountains” and sure they had the desire, but this mountain was a bit too heavy and maybe james didn’t have a full commitment to winning. so... yeah. |
Tonight's line-ups just out
Roma: Alisson; Florenzi; Manolas, Fazio, Kolarov; De Rossi, Pellegrini, Nainggolan; Schick, Dzeko, El Shaarawy. Subs: Skorupski, Juan, Under, Gonalons, Gerson, Peres, Antonucci. Liverpool: Karius; Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane. Subs: Mignolet, Clyne, Klavan, Moreno, Ings, Solanke, Woodburn. |
Liverpool score 1st after 10 mins. That's it, surely.
|
Quote:
came in late to find liverpool scoring a second haa haaa haaa... against themselves -- 10min later liverpool scores again now in the right direction. is it me or is this game not as exciting/contested as yesterday? seems too easy for liverpool. |
Anyone reckon it could be another 5 goals by Liverpool?
Incredible final when you think about it. Real Madrid have beaten all the league winners in the knock out stages (PSG, Juve, Bayern), and Liverpool have battered seemingly every team by 5 goals. Bring it on. |
best thing about tonight so far?
No fucking Robbie Savage. |
yeah--shaping up to be a great final
were rome by miracle win this i think real would eat them alive |
