jeezus johnson 5-0 this is bananas
|
5-0, what a riot. Wish I'd gone to the pub to watch.
|
Roma fans applauding apparently.
|
Watching it. Can only imagine the bollocks Savage is spouting.
|
i dont know robbie savage. my commentator just said "the head's gone"
same with yours? |
according to twiter i'm getting
Rob Stone, Alexi Lalas, IAN PAUL JOY and Warren Barton but i only hear 2 voices--british-like (not lalas who is probably only for studio). ... i dont fucking know lol |

He's the awful combination of a glib, uninterested old pro from the 70s combined with a flimsy white-boot-wearing prima donna from the late 90s. The worst of both eras. The kind of cliche machine who makes you believe that passion and intesity are things to avoid because he fakes them in such an offensive way, whilst at the same time purporting to be an ambassador from the era when the PREMIER LEEEEGE became great. Cunt |

YOUR BOYS GAVE ONE HELL OF A BEATING! |
I just flicked on 5Live for a sample. He's with Alan Green. Him and Robbie Savage = shudders.
|
lol no idea
dzeko scores! kloppo pissed off |
I really like Alan Green, so imagine my despair. Robbie Fowler is there as an occasional commenter, why not use him throughout? I think he's pretty good.
5-1 is still more than enough, can you imagine Liverpool not scoring in Rome? No drama to be found here. |
boody nora, as soon as i say that they score a pen!!!! this is madness
|
o man 5-2 the entertainment does not cease
|
fucking Savage is like an out of work 80s darts commentator. FFS he's ruining this for me!
|
Quote:
He annoys the living fuck out of me, although he's always good entertainment value when England are losing. 5-2 now but surely Liverpool have done enough for round 2. |
Quote:
hopefully. Radio commentators have to be very expressive to convey the drama of what's going on, and the best TV commentators have to be measured and let the football do the talking, like Barry Davies or Martin Tyler. What a mad night. |
oh i might be getting the same asshole
"roman legions" "all roads lead to rome" haaa haa haa haaa |
Quote:
I've kept the 5live commentary on just for the cringe. For Symbols, this is Paul Scholes on Robbie Savage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qo5Id_3AzEI |
i just got a video of robbie savage yeah he wasn't on my audio lolol
|
Scholes is the coolest motherfucker alive. This is the greatest football interview of all time. He's like an even more antisocial Mark E Smith.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oXoiV2zmaE |
Quote:
Nothing but massive respect for Scholes. The most gifted English player of the Prem era? |
Quote:
Gazza was in the Prem era, so everyone else has to line up behind him in terms of talent. |
Quote:
Yep, no argument there. Although did he actually play in the Prem at his height? I thought he was at Spurs when it was still the 1st Division. |
Quote:
yeah he had the massive injury in the 91 cup final with Spurs, then went off to Lazio, then Rangers, I dont think he came back to England until he went to Boro. Even so, if he counts as a Prem era player he's head and shoulders above anyone else. Nobody's come close to being named player of the tournament at a World Cup like Gazza was at Italia 90. |
No, you're right. Problem is whenever Gazza's name is mentioned I always end up killing hours watching him on youtube. Not the funny stuff, or the tragedy, just the brilliance.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s80P_ap74HY This Charming Man indeed. |

you must spread some reputation around before giving it to demonrail again |
Liverpool are amazing to watch. So happy they are finally on fire.
|
Poor old H8kurdt. Last night can't have been any fun.
Sooo, tonight ... Bayern v Real. Any predictions? It's at the Allianz but still think Real will be too much. |
Hahaha nah last night I was able to sit back and just enjoy watching them play as well as they did. Just. Save for Mane and Lovren everyone was on fire last night. I am glad that Roma managed to two goals back though. Makes next week even more interesting.
I used to work in a warehouse before going back to decorating a coupla years back. Among the 12 or so people I worked with 5 of them were Liverpool fans. Boy am I glad I don't work there at the moment! They'll absolutely insufferable at the moment. Bayern/Real tonight I actually can't call this one at all. Last night's I think everyone was looking at Liverpool as firm favourites. There's no outright in this one. |
the referee for Bayern/Real is Dutch, so he's winning of course! Two red cards for both teams!
|
Quote:
I'm backing Real over the two legs. Ramos's return will be important for them. Also Bayern will be without Vidal and Neuer. |
Quote:
— i’d like bayern to win of course, but who will stop cronaldo? that guy is something else. in my mind real has the higher chances. |
Quote:
OK, so that's a guaranteed yellow at least for Ramos |
Team news in ...
![]() ![]() Looking at the two line-ups they are very very close. |
Benzema suspended?
|
I don't think so. I think he's just benched.
|
bayern has all their arsenal out with robben and ribéry and mueller all at once. they’re not fucking around. and james has been brilliant lately.
worried about defense. rafinha and kimmich. kimmich is great but not whatsisnames caliber. rafinha in where alaba used to be— alaba was injured or something and in recent comeback. i don’t know. fuckin ronaldo! — oh yeah news say alaba not fit. FML. |
Just checked, yeah Benzema's benched. To be fair, he's been pretty shit this season.
|
so whatsisname = lahm
what i meant is kimmich is no lahm (yet) well he doesnt have to be “lahm” here, he said this last week or something https://www.theguardian.com/football...many-interview |
Damn, I'd completely forgotten that Lahm's retired
