I've heard that Australians have as many words for flies as Eskimos have for snow.

Chelsea were the better team IMO, but threw away the win through a silly mistake. Barcelona weren't impressive at all - especially given that Chelsea aren't exactly in top form this season, either. |

today i’m only slightly interested in the man u-sevilla. it’s in the middle of the workday so i should watch it with the corner of my eye while i catch up on a ton of paperwork. the (minor) attraction for me is sevilla itself who won the europa league so many times recently and i think finally make the champions. so i’m slightly curious. not sure what to expect of man u now that mkhitarian is in liverpool. what is that team about these days? |

Jose's press conferences. But seriously, they've got Sanchez now, so that might interest you. Keep in mind though, it's a Jose team so thrills are thin on the ground. I'll be watching it though. |

ha ha ha! ok |
i had a pile of receipts to process and was looking at the screen according to the announcers screams. i didn’t look much at the screen was more like a radio thing with mostly monotones. except right before the end of the first half and yeah that looked exciting.
— eta: the 2nd half seemed a bit livelier |
ooooh so excited to have bundesliga for breakfast again
ima make fried spam with green chile and eggs hell yeah. black coffee. and a hike on some rocks in the afternoon. sweet sweet weekend. thank you fußball |
Glad you're back into it (even if it's with the wrong league :) )

Same sentiments here. Welcome back!
Sorry I've been around much either. I usually start typing then get bored of myself and just delete it before sending it. |
Big march being organised by WH fans next month, against the board's running of the club. I know the fans have a reputation for over-estimating where the team should be but there are so many things going on behind the scenes that non-fans won't know about. I fully support the action, especially now most fans are behind Moyes and the players and can see that it's the owners who are slowly killing us.
![]() ![]() ![]() |
wait that’s that pink floyd movie
![]() so you marchin’? nothing wrong with this brilliant league, and the price is right ha ha ha but yeah it pains me to see great players like auba poached by so-so prem outfits like arsenal and get ruined there. also where did mkhitarian go? plus, fan control prevents pink floyd marches but yeah i admit it’s not the most famous one. and it misses debruyne. nevertheless, so much fun ha ha ha ha lots of catching up to do w/ the table & the current dramas h8kurdt just press “submit reply” |
holy shit bayern attacked attacked attacked but berlin defended like crazy and it ended 0-0
bayern missed some great chances, the most clear one by ribéry after some great work by robben in the first half. in spite of the no-score it was still fun/tense to watch ok |
fucking hamburg fans shooting fireworks, game is stopped
sounds like the usa. for fucking shame |

I will be yeah. It's the 1st time I've done anything like that for a football team but things have gone too far to ignore. It won't force the board out but it will hopefully draw wider attention to what they've been doing to the club. |

— semi-watched this morning a nice entertaining upper mid-table match, leverkusen vs schalke. schalke won 2-0 there was a spectacular save by leno (leverkusen’s gk) there was a red card there was a penalty there was a little bit of everything really and it was tons of fun. just wish i had paid greater attention to it but had a handful of small internet chores & things. worth checking the highlights though if you can find them. — eta: leipzig/cologne about to start. not sure who coaches cologne since chet moved to dortmund! |
![]() Precious Arsenal tears. Surely, SURELY Wenger will leave this summer? |
^Symbols^Basically, they lied to the fans about the conditions of the deal for the stadium move and their financial commitment to the club. There's more to it than that but most of the rest stem from those two issues.

For comedy value for the rest of us let's hope he's there for a long time yet. |
oh i see. i was able to google the right terms this time. secret contracts and what not. https://www.theguardian.com/football...er-season-rent
—- anyway koln just flipped the tortilla on lipstick and overcame an early goal against them to win 2-1, and denied lipstick the chance to get to 2nd place on the table. fun game. quite a weekend. looks also like bundesliga is responding to commercial pressure and embracing the salami schedule because dortmund plays augsburg monday. fri, sat, sun, mon they have games now. |
Quote:
It's horrible isn't it? You watch what happens on the pitch and its the best entertainment imaginable, but look behind the scenes and it's as rancid as can be. But I suppose that's part of its interest. |

the open matchdays give me the chance to see teams other than bayern. because if all games happen at once i’ll watch bayern. but now... i saw 3 games this weekend (could have seen 4 if i wanted) and enjoyed a look at the whole table. the most fun actually was leipzig-koln because koln is fighting relegation and leipzig was going for 2nd place and blam, ha ha ha. guess i can always go to watching just 1 per weekend as an option but it’s nice to have the choice of more |
It's an ongoing debate. Something a fan said to West Ham's owner was he cares more about West Ham fans in China than those in London. He's not wrong but that's the sport now. It's a battle that's simply lost now. But some fans want to 'keep it real' while also expecting mega million transfers each season. It's not a part of the protest I'm interested in. For me it's the fact the owners promised fans, players, Bilic and Moyes significant transfer budgets that never transpire. I can handle corporate but not the constant sense of being taken for a fool by a dwarf in a Stasi outfit.

yeah the competition is real and it’s global. no big money for big hires without international audiences. gotta get the chinese to get your player.
the salami schedule in germany was further sliced after your tv deal i believe. i just watched the end of the dortmund-augsburg game. being a monday i couldn’t handle the whole enchilada. but the last 20 minutes were both exciting and frustrating— #10 augsburg managed to tie 1-1 vs dortmund who is now the sole 2nd place (by a point instead of 3 like they wanted). lots of upsets at the bundesliga this weekend— bayern tied and nobody really profited from their reduced advantage. a conspiracy theory would read some orchestration by the bavarian illuminati of course. anyway the dortmund goal was a nice reus-gotze play. it’s like 2012 or something! — forgot to say (got accidentally deleted) that i think only savage clone here would march for sartorial causes, though i fear (i really don’t know) he might be in the countermarch opposing yours. i feel as if he might approve of that outfit. |
just saw a lively schalke 1 hertha berlin 0 game that wasn’t great but wasn’t bad either.
the real contest today comes in an hour: dortmund vs. rb leipzig. and the dortmund fans will NOT be attending in protest ha ha ha. good shit, this league. might not have mourinho interviews but it’s still got a bit of drama. |
West Ham destroyed 4-1 in a 6 pointer against Swansea. Officially worried.
|
^^ o man, sorry to hear, and in the middle of this whole mess
— if you need some entertainment to forget your troubles, the dortmund-leipzig game is highly entertaining so far dortmund using the same counterattack tools as rb got 2 goals annulled due to offsides. ouch! then schurrle loses the ball stupidly fucking leipzig scores (beautifully) and dortmund looks desperate. then near the end of halftime reus scores for dortmund and blam, 1-1. i’d say dortmund dominated this half but rb is always deadly and can’t be repressed. looking forward to the 2nd half! |
Quote:
Yeah, it's a mess. Everton fans are shitting themselves saying that we're going down. I know that the state of the premier league is that bad they'll be ok. Worst thing is Everton play West Ham in the alst game of the season. Southampton, Palace and Stoke are your saving graces for you at the moment. Really hope you manage to do it. |
In other news its Napoli/Roma. Big game for Napoli to keep that top place. Cos wants Juventus to win again, really?
|
ended 1-1 but damn damn damn was exciting till the end though
— now schalke is in 2nd place dortmund 3rd frankfurt 4th by goal difference |
Quote:
I really thought Everton and WH were looking safe but they're both back in the relegation battle now, especially as 'worse' teams keep picking up points. I quietly think both teams will just survive but it'll be close, although hopefully not down to that final game. -- Lots of fan unrest. The march planned for next week has been called off due to splits between different supporter groups. All a bit Monty Python really. |
oh ha ha ha ha i know what that video clip is before opening
|
Arsene won't be sacked but how can he not resign now?
|
first he has to give auba and mkhitarian back to dortmund
please? ha ha anyway bayern having their weekend pratice game at freiburg. 2-0 at halftime aready — eta: ended 4-0. mueller back on fire after his ancelotti slump long live osram |
Would it be fair to say that every team in the Prem currently under 5th Place (Chelsea) is basically terrible?
|
what happened to the glorious tv money?
|
Good question
|
wow! srsly?
damn... — eta: i googled and this turned up: http://www.cityam.com/279273/west-ha...h-richest-club |

Add Manchester United to that list. They just beat Crystal Palace "epically" at Selhurst Park (from 0-2 to 3-2 in injury time), but they're playing like shit. Alexis went from the frying pan into the fire. |

his buddy be happy to get shitfaced on bavarian beer with him ![]() |

I really think Jose's burnt out. His teams always irritated me but never in the way they do now. Whatever else you could say about a Mourinho team, you could never call them half-hearted. But that's exactly what this MU are. I really think the way it ended at Real and then Chelsea really knocked it out of him. Plus the fact Pep's doing so well. |
