It was a classic. Both teams really going for it. Liverpool were 4-1 up at one point but MC clawed back 2 goals making the final few minutes frantic as fuck.
|
It's all about the Pope's visit here today. Why am I mentioning it on this thread? It's pretty obvious:
El Pupi Zanetti El Pipi Romagnoli El Pipa Higuaín El Papu Gómez and now, el Papa Francisco Argentines and their goddamn nicknames, man... |
con más pes, papa pancho (o paco, como prefieran)

 EDIT — wait, sorry, I just got it. Lost some of my Spanish language mojo there... |
Alright, as you all know Alexis is now a Manchester United cat. Will he thrive there and join the club's historic list of "7"s? Or will Joe the Mou give him some completely warped task and ruin the part-ay? I'd like to read your opinions, since I'm possibly not to be trusted on this particular matter...
|
Quote:
It's impossible to say just because Jose's so hard to read now. Who knows if any of those iconic #7s would really thrive under Jose at the moment? Alexis is the kind of player who should thrive anywhere he goes but it sometimes feels like the only MU player who's really done that since Jose's arrival is Phil Jones, which says it all really. |
I must spread some Butter around before giving it to demonrail666 again.

And from the cross
Down at the lane He taps it in Harry Kane |
I've just watched the last minutes of Rennes-PSG.
Neymar's attitude towards his oponents... What a piece of shit that brat is... Some day, someone's gonna hack him down and it will take time for me to show sympathy. (I'd even wish Pepe stays fit for the world cup for a Portugal-Brasil meeting) |
Quote:
and yeah he’s a piece of shit brat as for the ill wishes— do you remember when a colombian cracked his spine last world cup? he definitely had it coming |
Quote:
Neymar's a disgrace. He somehow managed to control his temper when he was in Barca, but then he finally showed his character, when PSG owners promished him he'd be the star of the team. |
Neymar has no class. The handshake thing about sums him up. One of the many downsides of Messi and Ronaldo eventually retiring is it'll probably make him top dog not just at PSG but overall. Lets just hope someone with the skill but also some humility can emerge before then. I'm looking at you, Kevin De Bruyne.

Quote:
you're right. however, I might sense that Kylian Mbappe might be even bigger star when he gains experience and injuries will avoid him. that guy has tremendous skill, from what I'd seen him play. |
Yeah, although I've barely seen Mbappe play so it's all just hearsay for me at the moment. I know he's meant to be great though.
I wonder if the media might try and manufacture a good guy v bad guy rivalry between Neymar (obviously the baddie) and someone else, the way they did with Messi and Ronaldo. |
Dammit, Aubameyang is at Arsenal now? And right along with Mkhitarian. FML

Spurs v Liverpool last night was the perfect example of how two teams playing badly can create a great spectacle of a match.
|
Quote:
I disagree, I thought Liverpool defended excellently, their weakness was in midfield thanks to the mighty Moussa Dembele swatting them aside like flies. Spurs were poor in the first half but picked it up in the second. It was a wonderful game to watch, I actually went out to the pub especially to watch it live which i dont normally do, and whilst they both played badly at points (Spurs throughout the first half across the pitch, Liverpools defending falling to bits at the end) it was a fair result where both teams were equally inconsistent. |
Fair enough. I listened on 5Live so my eyes were provided by Robbie Savage's mouth.
|
And from the cross
Down at the lane He heads it in Harry Kane He just does it again and again and again |
Has Joe Mou lost it altogether or what? Alexis' greedy scumbag agent fucked up the deal with City and now you clearly get the sense that United's #7 feels pretty much like he did in Arsenal, "forced" to be wing, playmaker, striker... simul-fuckin'-taneously.

Anyone watching CL tonight?
Basel - Man City Spurs - Juve Has to be Spurs - Juve, right? |
oh hell
oh hell oh hell i had forgotten about this will have to see if the app works here in the new place so not gonna watch man city beat basel 8-0? |
Quote:
3-0 up already. That might not be as preposterous as it sounds. |
Quote:
so this was just a guesstimation that basel is lesser than roma was, and man city maybe more than his bayern, therefore a wider margin. i didn’t get the app yet. not sure i wanna get re-addicted when quitting was so hard ha ha ha ha. |
Kin love football me
|
Had some great games this week!
Watched the Real/PSG game. Always good to see Neymar eat humble pie. However, I will say the quality of football from both teams was just incredible. Next level stuff. I also saw the highlights for the Liverpool game after it too. The less said the better! |
Not saying a Prem team will win it this year but it's definitely been a strong season for English clubs so far.

thanks for making me a junkie again ha ha ha ha. the fox app works great with my new connection actually! and the bayern wolfsburg game was fun to watch. nothing great, just some good moments, and was cool to see heynckes back in charge and learn bayern is ahead 18pts (or 21 now, but leipzig plays tomorrow) after all the turmoil with ancelotti. FUCK YES this is the life ha ha ha ha otherwise what the hell does one work for i’ll catch up the replays/highlights of the games you mentioned |
Quote:
I just watched Spurs v Rochdale in the FA Cup and was thinking the same thing. Not a 'big' game but the kind that reminds you why you love it. |
Bloody missed it didn't I! Sounds like I missed a great game.

ah shit, a fun dortmund-gladbach game ended 1-0. lots of opportunities, and the score conceals the action. beautiful goal by reus with a curved top shot that looked like it would fly past then hit the goalpost and went in. the keeper didn’t see it coming.
a lot of personnel changes in dortmund since i last saw them. auba was replaced by a chelsea loaner—batuyi... something. a pity, not the same quality player. new defenders too—bartra is gone (to betis) and there are 2 names there i don’t know. the new coach used to be in cologne for years— i can’t remember his name cuz my wife calls him “chet”. ha ha ha. peter something. weigl and pulisic still there so that’s great. on good news gotze started today and looks well recovered. played along reus and schurrle in what looks like a german national team formation. gotze wasn’t in top form but was able and didn’t appear like his muscles were malfunctioning at all. |
An article on Heynckes's return and possible replacement next season.

It'll be interesting to see who eventually replaces him, although I do think they'll get Joachim Low sooner or later.

I know of no other way to say hi to you, Demonrail. Hi to you.
|
Hey man! Hope you're well!
|
probably not the same caliber as the chelsea-barelona but couldn’t help tuning to bayern-besiktas because!
besiktas had a player thrown out early for tripping lewandowski alone in front of the goal. no it wasn’t pepe (pepe plays there now) but some other dude... vida or something. besiktas managed to resist the early onset and hold on to 0-0... ...till the end of the first half when, after robben came in for james, mueller scored. then bayern scored 4 more times the second half ha ha ha anyway good to see javi martinez back in the midfield and not relegated as central defender where pep put him. great also to see mueller in great scoring form again (he got 2, coman 1, lewandowski 1). hard to gauge what are this team’s chances for the final with such a weak defender but i believe in osram. |

All’s well. I’m ready for summer to end though. Recently, during the fall of The Fall, I was pining to (that massive quivering wizard sleave) Glice about my inability to speak to you. I’m so sorry for your loss. I keep your Fall mix on my iPod constantly. Did you know that the combined weight of all the flies in Australia (must surely) outweigh the humans? I didn’t, until I moved here, and now, it’s like some sort of Biafran nightmare. |
