The Harder They Come (jamaica's first feature film). it was great, but we had to have the subtitles on the whole time. before that, i watched Battle Royale.

I've also watched Factory Girl but it's rubbish.

i wouldn't tell many people that i saw that one. something about darth vader playing dob bylan just isn't right.

He's embarassing in that role. What were they thinking of? I'm now watching This Is England. Lazy day.

suprisingly good. i did not expect that. some spectacular moments in the cinematography as well. good actors & all. now i wish i had seen it on a big screen.

"The Harder They Come" is great, and despite its title its not a porno. And its great for people who aren't generally exposed to reggae music because "You Can Get It if you Really Want" "The Harder They Come" are such great groovy songs. Still haven't seen "Battle Royale" though.

my girlfriend came home singing 'you can get it if you really want' one night and it was just funny because: a. she doesn't like reggae, generally and b. she was taunting in the most absurd manner.

This Is England is a very good movie. Highly recommended. I got my flatmate so drunk and hopeless , while watching it, he's had to got to bed now.

Why? It looked nice and for some reason I like Robert Downey Jr.'s acting.

i went to a midnight showing of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas last night with some friends. i love that movie.

Ocean's Eleven was on tv today. i love that movie.

Saw "Spirited Away" on Turner Classic Movies tonight.

I just watched Artificial Intelligence: A.I. Parts of it were really well done, but Spielberg seemingly just couldn't handle ending the movie when he should have done so. The alien stuff in the last 45 minutes was both completely unbelievable and majorly unnecessary. Too bad, would have been a great SF movie. Still better than average by far.
