You know what? After watching the O's and Nats last night, I have to say I'm a little underwhelmed by the new Nationals Park....I thought it would be WAY cooler. Maybe it will look better tonight in HD on ESPN.

I'm rooting for the Nats to win tonight, but I also have Tim Hudson going in one of my fantasy leagues. Ha! I've always liked the Braves especially since that's who I played for in Little League.....we fucking sucked.

ESPN had some good shots of the new stadium and I think I got a better feel for the stadium than on MASN yesterday. It looks like there isn't really a bad seat at all.....the seats are all really close to the field. I also really like how you can see the Capitol in the skyline.

Bush would've been booed regardless of where he threw out the first pitch.....DC had nothing to do about it and I agree that being booed in DC was really fitting. Being able to show disapproval of our leaders is what makes America/democracy awesome.....in a way, booing a fuck up of a President like Bush is actually pretty "patriotic" in that it shows that we are pissed and that we care about our country.

Ha ha ha.....allright, the first thing I'd like to say is that I haven't laughed so hard while watching a game (even when Manny cut off Johnny Damon's throw from center field) as when that ball dropped between Mr. Clueless, Jason Bay, and Nate McLouth last night during the Bucco and Braves game. I was watching the game with my dad out in Western Maryland where we get the Pirate games from FSN Pittsburgh.....my dad likes the Pirates along with the O's and Nats, but I just like laughing at the Pirates. I must have rewinded it 3 times on the DVR....it would've been the final out of the game too. Just hilarious.....and pathetic. Luckily the bastards won in extra innings.

Tom Gordon had an ERA yesterday of like 135.....that is going to fuck me in my one league where I picked him up for some saves while Lidge is out.

This has been a glorious week.

I don't think Beckett pitched TOO bad especially coming off injury and whatnot. What killed them was that fast ball Delcarmen through right down the middle to Frank Thomas with the bases loaded.


I have been enjoying the O's being on top of the AL East.....oh yes. There is a new direction in Baltimore and if we play this kind of baseball than we will have a shot at .500, which isn't much, but for us it is.

Thank God with Towles....he hasn't really been doing shit for me lately.

Luke Scott has been keeping a detailed notebook on every at bat he has, which has really contributed to his inhuman start. The O's are playing a thinking man's kind of baseball going at bat to at bat versus game to to game or even series to series like a lot of teams find themselves lazily doing.

The Tejada trade has worked out really well for both teams. Scott has obviously been raking, Sarfate is my boy, and Albers has pitched really nice out of the bullpen when we need an inning or 2. Not to mention, Patton, who was the "gem" of the trade, should be good to go next year. When the trade went down, I read that a lot of Astro fans were pretty pissed that they included Patton in the trade even with an injury that needed to be fixed.....he should be a nice number 2 or 3 at least.

Last year they wanted Miggy in a package built around Adam Everett.....pukes.

But yeah, Houston has needed a shortstop forever.

I've always like the Astros.....one of my 4 or 5 other teams I like to see win.

I love watching the Braves play. But I don't care about the MLB season beyond that, and have absolutely no interest in (that is, intense like or dislike of) any other MLB team.

Goin to see the O's vs. Nats on the 18th! The O's are lookin solid this year, i think they made the right moves over the offseason and Dave Trembley seems to know what hes doin (perlozzo was a joke).

But i will never get my hopes up for the orioles until after the all-star break (they have dissapointed me too many times throughout my childhood :( )

We ended up not going because of the rain....always nice to take a series from the Yankees.

Hey charles, Perlozzo and Lee Mazzone were from my hometown Cumberland, Maryland!! Ha!! But yeah, Trembley has been awesome.....we actually have direction/an identity now.

Marcum has been so good for my fantasy team... poor Rays had to run into him tonight... friggin Cliff Lee hits 6-0 and hands Wang his first loss... fun season so far

Yeah, Cliff Lee, if he keeps it up, will be the Comeback Player of the Year for sure. Hell, he might even start the All Star Game.

i really believe the Rays can make the playoffs this year... that is how different that team is right now.... it will be tough, but they are seriously not going to roll over right now... they have too much confidence and too much good pitching to suck this season...

yes but they have the talent too.... carlos pena and carl crawford havent been hitting too well thus far... and Bossman is only scratching the surface of his potential... and David Price is waiting in the minors, and he is ready according to many experts...

Big homestand for the O's this week....we play 2 more with the Yankees, have a day off, and then Boston comes in for 4.


We have been playing shit on the road, but pretty damn good, so 2 out of 3 from the Yankees and 2 out of 4 from Boston would be nice.


Either way, I think the Yankees are fucked because of their pitching even though they are rushing to try and get Joba's arm ready to start. He is supposed to throw 55 pitches in Baltimore Weds. Hopefully we hit Kennedy hard tonight.
