That's a seriously great film all round! I love the whole "siege" aspect of it...I'd go so far to say that it's one of those films that really is ahead of it's time. |

...they should do it to "Plan 9 In Outer Space".

is A Handmaid's Tale any good?
|
Not seen it, T & B. Who made that?

Not come across that one. Combat Shock is incredible. |
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Black Christmas (^the originals obviously) Wicker Man Witchfinder General Blood On Satan's Claw Neither The Sand Nor The Sea Psychomania (any pagan-y or weird British horror film from the 60s/70s) The Omen Peeping Tom Repulsion The Car (even though it's rubbish) |
Audition
Alien John Carpenter's The Thing |

dr666 - at the time that I was getting hold of loads of that stuff, it was the one film I figured that non-one would like at all - remember, this was the ers of "Women's Camp 119" et al. Until, of all people, my brother and his mate ranted on about it 3 Xmas's ago. I have it on DVD. D'you want to check it out? |

Pookie - oh my God, I was wearing the T-shirt of this film yesterday at work, and this new guy has lent me the soundtrack to this today! A seriously good film in all respects!

Awesome list. I could happily watch at least half of those once every day. Haven't hears of Neither the Sand nor the Sea, though. 70s British was the way to go. Watched Inseminoid again this afternoon. What a corker |

Very much a film of its time and place. |
That psychedelic soundtrack is great too.
It's a shame that time has passed when you could see films like that on BBC2. |
Yeah, Hammers at 1 in the morning on a saturday night. Happy days.
|
Indeed, Pookster, which makes it all the better, in my dementia-ridden brain. A very good Brit counterpart to a lot of the better 60's/70's biker films... on an unrelated tip, are you into the films of Pete Walker ("Frightmare", "House of Whipcord")?

demon - I was speaking to a workmate of mine today about just this...talking of which, my brother spoilt me totally on my birthday with the 20-film set of the "Best of Hammer"...I feel a weekend session is in order! |

I got the Pete Walker box set last year. Great stuff on there. Die Marianne Screaming is just bonkers. It's like about eight films at once.
