That's a seriously great film all round! I love the whole "siege" aspect of it...I'd go so far to say that it's one of those films that really is ahead of it's time.

I used to have the colourised version of this. What a bizarre concept colourising was. They also did it to a lot of Laurel & Hardy films.

dr666 - at the time that I was getting hold of loads of that stuff, it was the one film I figured that non-one would like at all - remember, this was the ers of "Women's Camp 119" et al. Until, of all people, my brother and his mate ranted on about it 3 Xmas's ago. I have it on DVD. D'you want to check it out?

It was one of those films I saw as a child and for years had a vague recollection of it, but couldn't remember the title. Then I just happened to see it on TV one night.

Very much a film of its time and place.

That psychedelic soundtrack is great too.

It's a shame that time has passed when you could see films like that on BBC2.

I got the Pete Walker box set last year. Great stuff on there. Die Marianne Screaming is just bonkers. It's like about eight films at once.
