I remember Melys, but I don't recall Meth Dettol. Let me guess, Melys are a Welsh band, aren't they? Do you know a band called Ectogram? They were (are?) capable of some brilliance.

Ectogram I have a 7" of. I believe it's in the pile of 7"s that I have listened to once at most. That's not to say it's bad, it's to say I can't ever be fucked to listen to 7"s.

Melys Dwyfir [sp?] and whichever album that came from was great. Around the time of some decent Welsh bands (Melys, Gorkys, Welsh-language Catatonia) and some very, very bad ones (late Manics, Stereophonics). All before the mighty Tystion, all way after the eternally brilliant Datblygu.
