I'd say pretty much the same as Pantophobia. Agnostic but Atheist when pissed off. Up until a few years ago I would have probably said Atheist but I suppose I've become more open minded to other possibilities. Not that I remotely believe in a God but on the other hand I can't proved his/her/it's non-existence either. Plus that cunt Dawkins gives Atheists a bad name.

Also, I think on the last Census I put Mercerism as my religion. It was at the time that there was that internet campaign to get Jedi recognised as a proper religion. Me and a friend thought Mercerism was a slightly more obscure and cool fictional sci-fi religion so we put that. It was classic 'students being hilarious and oh so clever' type stuff and I apologise profusely for it and, in my defense, would like it noted that I never once stole a traffic cone, road sign or any other piece of public furniture when other intoxicated or sober...m'lud.

Hah.

I don't know exactly why I feel so strongly towards Catholicism. My parents are mostly agnostic- my dad is one of those people who collects far eastern knick knacks, so we have Buddhas and a Ganesh displayed around the house. There is a crucifix in the kitchen that my dad bought in Spain, and I have rosary beads in my room. Whenever I try to bring Religion up I usually find that both my dad and sister are atheists, which bugs me a little.

i'm catholic by birth but waver between unquestioning papism, and bewildered agnosticism.

it's surprising to see so many english catholics here.

!@#$%! 05.15.2007 12:22 PM

NONE.

i was raised catholic but managed to get it out of my system-- thank god!

is it because the protestants are hard at work, trying to buy their way into heaven?

I was born into a liberal Irish-Catholic family but I turned atheist when the "religious question" started to concern me in high school. Then I became agnostic and have been ever since.

But mostly I'm apathetic.

If that was a joke, good one.

I'm a devout Christian, of the Anglican kind (of course, Church of England in my case). The Church of England's 39 Articles just about sum up my position, really.

I'm comfortable with all branches of the Anglican church, but the one we're involved with is more of the Evangalism-oriented variety than the Anglo-catholic type. Both ends of Anglicanism are fine by me though.

Our church, if you care:

Humanity, that is my religion.
