I'm usually with you. And yes, I found it funny that it was their idea of an action flick. But it really wasn't very funny. Not compared to something like Superbad which had the same screenwriters. |

you know that's intentional right? I mean like, she's playing Joan Jett. In a movie. |
Yeah, I know. She's just always dressing kind of like her nowadays. I'm not complaining though.
|
yeah, I could do without the mullet and stuff. But... still.
|
|
No, I haven't.
|
![]() I still love it haha |
Adventureland
Best Apatow related thing ever...know why? No Seth Rogen and no Michael Cera. (before anyone says anything. I know Apatow didn't have anything to do with this per se (I don't think?), they just share some cast members and the director of Superbad) |

![]() 5/10 -- a huge letdown for me. |
Zombie fucking ruined the mask... I'd think he'd respect that the mask is scarier as just a blank slate (THE ORIGINAL FUCKING CONCEPT), but apparently he got the idea that generic scars would make it scarier.
|
He had a somewhat okay idea for this one, but then just completely dropped the fucking ball. The film was reaaaaallly confused about what it wanted to do, so basically did nothing well. And Donald Pleasance would roll over in his grave if he saw what back of Loomis in this one. Just really a trainwreck for the most part. Which upsets me on a lot of levels.

Is it even possible for the new Zombieween to be worse than the first?
![]() ![]() :) At least we still have the originals. |
![]() |
rob zombie's still allowed to make films? ugh..
|
I like the first Zombie Halloween a lot. The 2nd not so much.
The OG H2 is probably my favorite of the series. |
Oh come on man, the Original is a masterpiece. Albeit, the second one is more fun.

inglorious basterds

The second one is more... entertaining though I guess. |
![]() 8/10. Lars von Trier is a genius and Emily Watson is one of my favorite actresses ever. |
Quote:
definately, of course the first one is the masterpiece, the course of the series got broken up by reinvention and the original idea was lost. |

That's probably his best film. Very interesting director, dunno if I'd call him a genius. Europa, The Idiots, and Epidemic all are kinda... eh. Can't wait to see Antichrist. |
Quote:
Yeah I can't wait too. His best movie imo is Dancer in the Dark, followed closely by Dogville (one of the most original movies ever). |
I find all his films extremely interesting, conceptually, but I have trouble getting into some of them. I really like Elements of Crime, Dancer in the Dark, and The Five Obstructions!!
|
![]() 5/10 Kristofferson saved it from being plain seventies crap (which for the most part it was) |

I never said it wasn't a masterpiece. I love it. I'm just saying II is my favorite. Not "The Best" of the series. Just My Personal favorite of the series. |
Quote:
Ressurection on the other hand... |
II is definitely the most entertaining Halloween film. I find the original kinda boring honestly. "Classic", sure, but I dunno. It's not even the first slasher film, it's definitely not the best, and the Halloween series as a whole has sucked. So, yeah.
|
re-watched The Check Out. 8/10.
I have 35 Giuseppe Andrews movies, and they're all at least 7/10. He's amazing. |
