viewtiful, so you went for the digital copy of I AM NOT A HUMAN BEING? Man, i'm waiting til next month for the physical copy with the 3 extra tracks.

BTW I love that YM album

I had some money left over on an itunes giftcard I had recieved, so I just went ahead and got it. I might wind up with the physical copy, the sound on the digital is pretty poor.

I think it would be better if Mack Maine were edited out of it... he can rap, but his verses on this album are uniformly awful

oh I see (re: Wayne) I'm really excited about the physical album coming out though. "Right Above It" is sick and the title track I enjoyed.

As far as the YM album goes, I'm always astounded at how good the beats are on it. It's really solid throughout. And basically, I think the record is an amazing snapshot of a period of time.... Wayne was riding high and Drake & Nikki were just sort of becoming known.

This is basically an official release of the Monster Island Live mixtape that was sold thru Sandbox Automatic back in 2005. The sequencing is different, and there's a lot more sound effects and banter included here, but I knew I had heard this recording before. Anyway, it's better sound quality here, but would have been way more exciting if it was actually a new live recording.
