I laughed so hard I watched it again today

Citizen Kane.
I'm watching it by small doses, it's so boring, maybe I'll get to the end.
There's got to be something extaordinary about this movie: I mean, it's the best movie ever, right???

^ according to some, but there are far better movies than that. check out Rope by Hitchcock, still made in the 1940s and a much better film, I think.

There seems to be a general consensus around the movie making community (actors,directors, etc.) who say "Citizen Kane" is the greatest movie ever made, but if you ask people outside of those circles I'd doubt you'd find such agreement. There have been many films both around that era and beyond that could arguabally surpass its greatness. Of course, everyone's got an opinion.

Really? Fuck. I never thought any of it was boring. I like it a lot, as obvious as it is to say it's one of the best films ever. I mean, I don't think so, but it was incredibly forward-thinking for its time. And I think it's so well executed.

I thought citizen kane was decent. My mind wandered a bit but it's a well-made film and it wasn't boring. I dunno. It was alright.

Citizen Kane is a good film, but Touch of Evil is the shit!!!!!!!!!!!

Touch of Evil was awesome, Double Indemity too

no country for old men is great. Definitely the Coens's best film since Barton Fink.

About to go watch either the Elephant Man or Tetsuo.. not sure yet.

Elephant Man is a great film.

Did John Hurt win any awards for his performance as merrik..? If not thats just a travesty.

I'm pretty sure that it only rec'd nominations, not awards.

THE ADVENTURES OF PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT - 6/10

Ah, the torrent of TOKYO GORE POLICE finished and I just watched it. 8/10. Great film! If you liked The Machine Girl (and, really, who didn't?) but wished it were darker, more surreal, and more violent, this will be up your alley. Just awesome.

Technically the average of that would be exactly an 8/10. So does an 8/10 actually mean a mid-eight, or an 8.0?

These are the things I think about when I should be asleep.

I thought about it and gave it an 8.

has anyone seen the Arthur Russell doc. out now? just curious, as I really dug his 08 release, and am now on World of Echo, and his music is awesome/beautiful/heartbreaking, and I've heard one or 2 people rec. this film on other boards

how can I get people to watch tokyo gore police? Let's see.. exploding heads, a dude gets his dick bit off, this family kills a dude for real while playing a wii game, there's all these fucked up people with teeth on their tits and snail eyes and shit... and there's this fucked up chair made of human skin that has a vagina completely peeled apart and pissing in this dude's mouth... alligator vaginas... limbs cut off, blood covering the camera...

Wii's are good for people who don't like video games. They're also good for accidentally hitting yr siblings in the face, breaking television screens and injuring yr pets.

The only good idea the Wii introduced was Virtual Console. Though MS has already jumped on that boat with XBLA. So when I buy my next-gen system it'll either be XBL or a PS3 assuming that Sony figures out I want more retro games than just PS1 titles.

That's probably my favorite film ever. 10/10.
