I love music and making noise. I've been in bands sense high school. My high school punk band, Laughing Jesus, was a blast and wandered all over the '80 punk landscape from pure improve noise to Flipper style stuff to Tales of Terror rockin' (I love TOT!!!!!!) to 7 seconds hardcore. Now I'm an old man with kids but I'm still writing and doing improv stuff. Who ever thought the '80s would be the glory days?
I discovered Sonic Youth in '83 when KDVS was playing Death Valley 69 all the time. Thank the gods for free form radio. check it out for some cool music. I still listen to keep up with the cool kids.

My name is Alyasa and I live in Singapore. I'm 26, studying to be a civil and environmental engineer and live with my parents. (not in the basement).

I started listening to Sonic Youth and Nirvana in 1992, when I was 12; and haven't looked back since. I like rock, like Led Zep and Deep Purple. I also am a big Massive Attack fan and love Aphex Twin too.(who doesn't). I listen to almost anything nowadays, except the radio.

I learned the guitar after hearing Kurt Cobain, and continued playing after i heard Ritchie Blackmore. I sometimes deign to write poetry; whether successfully or not; is a matter of debate.:o I have a profile on Everything2.com; if anyone's ever heard of that, it's chaoticaly x, and my myspace is myspace.com/alyasa.
