Or a sixpack of Corona's :D
But I guess she can be happy she's at home, and not stuck in some detention camp or whatever is used for the quarantines |
Had a Year 12 induction ceremony today, and it was a huge waste of time. We had to listen to a whole patch of speeches, hear the principal talk about how important he is, then get called up one by one to get a badge that I'm never going to wear. And on top of that, my friend (who handed me my badge) pronounced my name wrong.
At least the girl playing piano while we waited was pretty good - and I got to hear the Mellon Collie theme, which was unexpected. |
OH FUCK LOOK WHAT I CAME ACROSS WHILE SEARCHING FOR EVOL
Another polish bootleg |
Apparently it doesn't have shoot and JCis listed as IC lolz

Don't think I've ever had a decent American wine. Might as well shove a load of jam and syrup in it. However, looks like a great day |

It was a grand and glorious day, but we kinda fell in to that by accident. Went to the winery to get my wife a bottle of their Valentine line. Didn’t know about the day long concert and other things going on. I ended up getting a box of various wines. Quote:
A good friend of my dad's invited us to his Suite. His son, Alex Morono, is a UFC Fighter and this was his 24th fight. He didn’t do well getting TKO’d in the first round. We did the same a few years ago in Austin, enjoyable every once in a while, but nothing I would pay to attend. Halle Berry was there, they kept showing her on the Jumbotron. I figured she might be dating a UFC Fighter (?), but someone in our Suite thought she was studying for a role in a UFC movie??? ![]() |
In the process of planning my first (and last) major teenage truancy - I'm ditching the school swimming carnival. Not going this year, not a fucking chance.

but seriously, good for you. so—what’s the plan? going anywhere fun? saved your paycheck for the hair salon or something? oh! and did you text her or no? |

There are some problems, though. I need to get signed off at school first (fortunately, I've got free periods to start so I just sign in at the office). I can't go home (because my parents expect me to go), and I can't show up there too early or late (otherwise they'll get suspicious). So I'll just have to go into the town centre for a couple of hours, then loiter around my school from about 2pm until the bus gets there. I also can't really go shopping, because otherwise I'd show up with a bunch of stuff I couldn't have done at the public pool. So IDK, I'll wander around, ride buses, eat fast food, crossdress, have a fun time. Yay for youth... --- I didn't text her, no. I did say it was good to see her when she showed up on Thursday, so I didn't leave her completely in the lurch. --- In other news, I'm doing more planning for my European holiday. Catching trains is going to be way more expensive than I'd hoped. :( |
even with a student pass? back in my day (lmfao) there was a “student advantage” nonsense that would get you discounts everywhere, and a month-long train pass to everywhere. no more?
also check this scheme: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-10467712.html (but hostels can be great) and your day sounds like it’s gonna be a blast! hahah have fun Yay for youth... yeah, fuck... you don’t have to be dead inside afterwards, but it goes by very quickly. |

But these days you might get a better deal with the cheap flyers such as Ryanair if you plan smart. However you would still need to travel from the airport to the city and often Ryanair doesn't fly to the main airport. For instance the Ryanair airport for Düsseldorf in Germany is in the middle of nowhere and hours away from that town. So you would still need to pay extra for bus or train to get there, and on those flights you also need to pay extra for luggage. Add to that that those flights are often at stupid times like 6AM. So in the end, the interrail card could still be a better deal. |
also, had a semi-recent discussion with demonyo re: bus service taking over train routes. i think in england it’s megabus.
and, a quick search... https://eurolines.com/en/home/ https://www.omio.com/buses/germany etc |
oh! and here is the international student id
https://www.isic.org/ gets you cheap tickets to tons of places. eg, the opera, museums, whatever\wherever students get cheaper/free admission student advantage is a different marketing scheme lol. still exists... oh, last! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/STA_Travel ^^started in yr cuntry of all places... so aussies can get plastered abroad :D but no yeah those people will connect you to cheap flights, hostels, etc |

I think they are the most wellknown, at least in this area of Europe. Bus travel was really impopular a number of years ago, but it's had a revival and might indeed be the cheapest way to travel through Europe (but also boring and longwinding as fuck) |
I'd honestly rather lick Bytors ballsack than bus everywhere when travelling. I did a 13 hour bus trip once and never again. Better to pay a lil bit more for ease of the journey and the shortened time spent travelling.
|
Ok then, I'll give another question:
13 hour quiet non-stop busride, or a 3 hour flight with this woman |

usa i used to do dc to new york a lot by bus. did also dc to pittsburgh in... 12! hahaha. it was cool and entertaining. and my first time in paris i got so disoriented i paid for a tour bus just to get a general idea. it wasn’t too annoying and i got a nice view. i figured a couple of hours in an autobahn wouldn’t any kind of be torture, but ymmv... i read somewhere there were new fast routes developed in recent times. i’d rather do bus than nothing at all... |

Hey Moshe, you're a liar
Hey Stu666 you're a dickhead. Don't sweat it. It's just handbags at dawn. Besides it's an internet forum and forums aren't srious bzns. |
And if you get banned then just sign up under a new name. That's what everyone else does.

Yeah, true. I have no plans to come back though, at least not for a long time.
The story: *35-something admin starts a relationship with early-20s mod *I like and trust the admin, but hate the mod *Part of it's jealousy, part of it's worry the admin will get hurt (she'd divorced within a year of starting this, and she rushed into it) *she tells me that she'd broken up with the mod, and asked me not to talk to other people *basically nothing changes, the server's still full of lovey stuff and the mod being a cunt *I decide that I've had enough, and allude to being lied to *mod DMs me to ask what's up, I show him, he says he had no idea and that they hadn't broken up *I get mad, post the liar/dickhead comment in public (with a screenshot), and immediately leave *shit starts, including the mod deleting the post and calling me 'unstable' when they're discussing it (he later tried to clarify) But yeah. Shame, that was where I developed so much as a person. But I don't want to be under the thumb of someone I trusted, but who lied to me. Nor a dickhead like him. (I met my ex-girlfriend there...) |
It's fun wandering around school and seeing all the social groups you're not a part of. But, then again, I don't really want to be part of their groups?
|
that there is a good soap opera idea and worth developing. don’t be sad.

Had an assembly at school today for all the Year 12s - talking about how we need to be leaders of the school, how important the boat race is, how we're now banned from the common room because some people fucked it up...
I can't help but thinking it'll be so much better when I'm out of this mess. But, at the same time, maybe I'm overhyping the future? Maybe wherever I go to next is going to be largely the same as this, just with the added disappointment of raised expectations? |
Is the boat race meant literally, or as metaphor? You can't be all leaders, leaders need people to lead. Why should you need to lead the school, isn't that what the management should be doing? Or is management going on a 6 month sabbatical boat cruise, and they told you all to go manage yourself while they're away. Oh boy :D
Anyway, very important news from my side: My new coat has the exaxt same colour as my couch. I hope I don't mix them up. |
It's a very literal boat race. All of the local schools have a rowing team, and they compete on the local lake once a year. Our school is very proud of it, even though all the rowers are objectively dickheads.
Hopefully your coat is nice. |
I cut my hand trying to jump a fence, am I punk rock now?
