fucking great movie kate winslet was awesome in it you'll "get it" more after you've lived with someone for a while or you've reached "a certain age" or whatevarr. in the book, the character is this chick who in college falls in love with a woman, then graduates, doesn't know what to do, works at starbucks for a while, and one day her ex-lover shows up married to some fucking doctor, then she goes into a graduate program and she kinda sucks at it-- then she meets this guy who is lots older than her & goes into this maternity lifestyle from hell. and then her husband who is supposed to be on a business trip is actually on some kind of cruise with slutty kay. throwing money at her (not he alone but with other people). but anyway, i never finished the book! ha ha. got sidetrack & what not. still, the movie ruled. you'll see in a few years. |
yeah i really liked that film. very well done

The Company of Wolves, it was rather unusual...
|

A fairytale horror with beautiful sets, great special effects and werewolves. What more could you ask for? |

Definitely a lesser work of Cronenberg's, not very good but I did enjoy the whole atmosphere of it. Shivers was better. |
Amadeus.
Liked it (even if facts are a bit distorted). |
i saw teh strangers a few nights ago, and i gotta say... that is one of the absolute WORST movies i've ever seen in my life. there's not really much else to say about it. it was fucking horrible.

the facts are altered, but the story/film is engrossing! |
Amadeus is a fucking classic movie. I'd never saw it until I bought a box of 20 or so random VHS tapes off eBay and I fell into it right off.
Last one: Fast Times At Ridgemont High, actually this is first time I've watched it all the way through. |
![]() neurotic self-obsessed new yorker points camera at herself, but redeems herself by pointing it at women around the globe as well-- and that's where this becomes brilliant stuff. |

heh heh - a friend of mine was one of the assitant editors on that flick |
yea I dont know why I was semi-interested in seeing the strangers, so the general consensus is fuck it? dont waste yr money?

i wanted to strangle jennifer fox many times while watching this (narcissism and teenage stupidity in a middle-aged woman are irritating), but she does a great job after all, redeems herself so to speak. so what does your friend say? did she/he enjoy working on this or what? |
yeah, my girlfriend watched that thing, and I caughtmaybe an hour of it. I just could not stand so much navel gazing from a self-absorbed 40 year old. I really really could give a fuck.
|
watched this again yesterday
![]() I love this movie. for sheer filmmaking ability, it is tarantino's best IMO. |
